Xiaomi launched its first 48-megapixel camera phone Redmi Note 7 Pro in India back in February. Now, the company is bringing a new Redmi phone with a 48-megapixel camera. Redmi India has posted a teaser that hints at this new phone.

The teaser image says “there was only one 48-megapixel in our arsenal” and it highlights the letter “S” with a different color. This suggests that the company will introduce a new S-series in India. The tweet also uses hashtag ‘#48MPForEveryone’ that suggests that it will be a budget range phone.

Redmi note 7 pro

This upcoming Redmi phone will be the second from the company to come with a 48MP camera after the Redmi Note 7 Pro. Moreover, Xiaomi has also teased a new phone with triple rear cameras might soon come to India. So, this could be the Redmi S series phone.

Furthermore, Xiaomi’s Global VP and Xiaomi India MD Manu Kumar Jain also announced last month that a new Snapdragon 700-powered phone would be launched soon in India. So, there is a possibility that he might also be talking about the upcoming Redmi S series.

So, as far we have got to know from the recent teasers from the company that they will launch a new phone with Snapdragon 700 series process, triple rear cameras with a 48MP sensor and it will be from a new Redmi S series.

There are no official words on the launch date and name of the Redmi phone yet. We will update you when we hear something about this upcoming Redmi phone.
