Xiaomi Black Shark 2 was launched in India today. The Black Shark 2 is a gaming-focused smartphone from Xiaomi and comes with features like Snapdragon 855 SoC, up to 12GB RAM, ‘X-style’ unique antenna design with RGB logo on the back, press sensitive controls for the display, AI gaming experience, etc.

The Black Shark 2 also sports an AMOLED display with an in-display fingerprint scanner, a dual rear camera setup with a 48-megapixel primary sensor, etc.

The Xiaomi Black Shark 2 price in India starts at Rs. 39,999 for the 6GB/128GB version and goes up to Rs. 49,999 for the top 12GB/256GB model. The phone will go on sale from Flipkart starting June 4.

Black Shark 2 Specifications

The Black Shark 2 comes with a 6.39-inch FHD+ (1080×2340 pixels) AMOLED display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio. It has a touch-sensitive display similar to 3D Touch on Apple iPhones.

Under the hood, it is powered by the flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor paired with Adreno 640 GPU and up to 12GB RAM. For better gaming, the Black Shark 2 features direct touch multilayer liquid cooling system 3.0 that offers full coverage cooling.

For the camera, the Black Shark 2 sports dual rear cameras with a 48-megapixel primary Samsung GM1 sensor with f/1.75 aperture and a 12-megapixel secondary sensor with f/2.2 aperture. It supports 2x lossless zoom. There is a 20MP selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture.

The smartphone runs on Joy UI based on Android 9 Pie. It gets power from a 4000mAh battery that comes with 27W quick charging support. It can offer a 60% battery in just 30 minutes. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5, GPS, A-GPS, and USB Type-C.
