Honor Band 5 is the Most Affordable Fitness Tracker that Tells Blood Oxygen Levels

HONOR also introduced Honor Band 5 along with the Honor 9X series in China yesterday. This is the successor of last year’s Honor Band 4 and comes with several upgrades. Notably, it has a new SpO2 sensor for tracking blood oxygen levels.

If we talk about other key features, the latest Honor Band comes with an AMOLED color touch screen display with Home button, continuous heart rate tracking and water-resistance up to 50 meters. Let’s check out features, specs, and price of Honor Band 5.

HONOR Band 5 Features, Specs

The new Honor Band sports a 0.95 inch AMOLED touch color display with a screen resolution of 240×120 pixels. Dimensions of the band are 43 × 17.2 × 11.5 mm and its weight is just 22.7g. It comes in Meteorite Black, Midnight Blue, and Pink colors.

The wearable device has Bluetooth 4.2 LE connectivity and is compatible with Android 4.4 or above and iOS 9 or above. It packs a 100mAh battery that can last up to 14 days. It also comes with water and dust resistance with 5 ATM rating.


The band comes with Pedometer, Exercise tracker, Sedentary reminder, etc. Its automatic activity tracking lets you track running, cycling, and more. It also has Sleep Tracker with TruSleep 3.5 feature that offers personalized sleep recommendations.

It also has 6-axis sensors with an infrared wearing detection sensor. Also, the PPG heart rate sensor offers continuous heart rate tracking. The SpO2 sensor can tell the level of oxygen in your blood.

The fitness band also has call and message notification feature with call mute function.

Price, Availability

The Honor Band 5 price in China starts at 189 yuan (Rs. 1,890 approx.) for the standard version and the NFC version is priced at 219 yuan (Rs. 2,195 approx.). The band goes on sale from July 29 in China. It should also come to India soon, however, there is no such announcement from the company as of now.
