Huawei has announced a new smartphone in China today, dubbed as Nova 5i Pro. The company’s latest mid-range phone comes with a 32-megapixel in-screen camera and quad rear cameras with a 48-megapixel sensor. If we talk about other highlights, Huawei’s latest phone is powered by the new Kirin 810 7nm processor with up to 8GB RAM, runs Android Pie with EMUI, and packs a 4000mAh battery with 20W fast charging.

The new Huawei Nova 5i Pro gets a 6.26-inch Full HD+(2340×1080 pixels) IPS display. Dimensions of the phone are 156.1×73.9×8.3 and it weighs just 178g. It has a back-mounted fingerprint sensor.

Under the hood, there is an Octa-Core Kirin 810 7nm processor with ARM Mali-G52 MP6 GPU. It comes paired with up to 8GB LPDDR4x RAM and up to 256GB storage. The storage is expandable up to 256GB with microSD.

The smartphone runs on Android 9 Pie with EMUI 9.1.1. Connectivity options are Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 5 LE, GPS, USB Type-C. The device is fueled by a 4000mAh battery with 20W fast charging that can charge it up to 50% in just 30 minutes.

In terms of camera, the quad lens set up at the back has a 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor with f/1.8 aperture, an 8MP Ultra Wide Angle lens, a 2MP f/1.75 aperture macro camera, and a 2MP depth sensor. The in-screen camera is a 32MP sensor with f/2.0 aperture.

Price, Availability

The Huawei Nova 5i Pro price in China starts at 2199 yuan (Rs. 22,065 approx.) for the 6GB/128GB storage version and goes up to 2799 yuan (Rs. 28,080 approx.) for the top-end 8GB/256GB version.

The Nova 5i Pro comes in Aurora Blue, Emerald Green, and Phantom Black colors and will go on sale in China from August 2. The new Nova series smartphone is expected to be launched in India as well.
