Redmi Note 8 Pro with 64MP Camera, Mediatek G90T Processor Launching on August 29

Xiaomi’s Redmi brand has already confirmed that it will launch Redmi Note 8 Pro in China on August 29. The Redmi Note 8 Pro will be powered by MediaTek Helio G90T SoC with Liquid cooling support, 4500mAh battery and it will come with quad-camera set up with 64MP ISOCELL Bright GW1 sensor.

Update: August 26, 2019- The company has posted more teasers on Weibo that confirm 3D glass back which is also curved on the four sides. The image below shows the Ice Jade color version of Redmi Note 8 Pro. Another image (featured) shows the White version as well.

Further, the company has also confirmed that this will support TÜV Rheinland High-Performance Network Connection and it will be the first phone to do so. With this feature, when a WiFi network is slow, it will establish a Wifi/LTE dual concurrent service and compensate it through the 4G network.

Redmi has also confirmed that Note 8 Pro will pack a 4500mAh battery. This could also come with 18W fast charging support via USB Type-C. The teaser also reveals 3.5mm audio jack and speaker grill on the bottom.

Update: August 22, 2019- MediaTek has now confirmed that the Redmi Note 8 Pro will be powered by its latest Helio G90T SoC. The Redmi Note 8 will get the Helio G90. In another news, the Redmi Note 8 Pro has again been spotted in a live image.

MediaTek took to Chinese platform Weibo to confirm the Helio G90T SoC on the upcoming Redmi Note 8 Pro. The new 12nm based processor is said to deliver an enhanced gaming experience.

Separately, GizmoChina has shared a live image of the Redmi Note 8 Pro. The leaked image of the phone shows a triple camera setup at the back and glass back panel. This live image is in-line with the teaser image released recently.

Update: August 21, 2019- Xiaomi’s Redmi brand in China has now confirmed that it will introduce the Redmi Note 8 series smartphones on August 29th. The Redmi Note 8 and Redmi Note 8 Pro will be launched along with the Redmi TV at that event in China.

The teaser image for Redmi Note 8 Pro confirms 64-megapixel camera in a quad-camera setup, as expected previously. The image shows a device with a fingerprint sensor below the camera module. The back looks like glass, just like the Redmi Note 7 series.

Earlier: There have been rumors about Redmi Note 8 series making rounds of the internet since last week. Now the live images of the ‘Redmi Note 8 Pro’ smartphone have surfaced online in China. The leaked images reveal the design and specs of the 64MP camera phone.

The leaked images also suggest MediaTek Helio G90T processor. To recall, at the launch of this chipset, Xiaomi India head Manu Kumar Jain has already announced that Xiaomi will launch a new phone in India which will be powered by this chipset.

Redmi Note 8 Pro Leaks

The first leaked images show the left side of the alleged Redmi Note 8 Pro with a SIM card slot and also reveal the back of the phone. There are triple or quad cameras arranged vertically and also a considerable camera bump due to the large 64MP sensor.

The 64MP AI Super Camera text is written below the camera module. The bottom of the device can be seen sporting a 3.5mm audio jack, USB Type-C, and the loudspeaker grill.

Earlier, Redmi’s Lu Weibing has also confirmed the Redmi Note 8 series on Weibo. The General Manager in China has said that the phone will offer clearer images, longer battery life, and high screen-to-body ratio.

He even shared an image of the camera module is being assembled stating that it had already entered mass production. The alleged 64MP camera module showed triple cameras arranged vertically and one camera next to it.

Xiaomi has already confirmed that it will launch a smartphone with Samsung’s 64MP Bright GW1 sensor in India in Q4 this year. Since Xiaomi launched its first 48MP camera phone under Redmi Note series, this 64MP sensor is also expected with the same. So, this Redmi Note 8 Pro leak seems legit.
