Nokia 6.2

HMD Global also announced Nokia 6.2 at the IFA event on Thursday. The company’s latest Android One smartphone is the successor to last year’s Nokia 6.1 and comes with upgrades in terms of display and camera.

The new Nokia phone has a PureDisplay with HDR support, just like the Nokia 7.2. This is powered by Snapdragon 636 with up to 4GB of RAM, and also features triple rear cameras in a circular arrangement, but this has a 16MP primary camera. The ultra-wide lens and depth sensor are similar to the Nokia 7.2. It has an 8MP front camera.

The 6.2 is also crafted from a polymer composite and features Gorilla Glass 3 on both the sides just like the 7.2. Let’s check out full specs, price, and availability details.

Nokia 6.2 Specifications

The Nokia 6.2 sports a 6.39-inch Full HD+(1080 × 2340 pixels) 19.5:9 aspect ratio PureDisplay with Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It also comes with HDR 10 support and uses Pixelworks visual processor to upscale content to HDR quality in real-time.

The phone is powered by a Snapdragon 636 14nm processor with Adreno 509 GPU. It is paired with up to 4GB LPPDDR4x RAM and up to 128GB internal storage. The storage is expandable up to 512GB with microSD.

The triple camera setup has a 16MP primary camera with f/1.8 aperture, an 8MP 118° ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 5MP depth sensor. It also comes with Night mode and Portrait mode with AI features like adjustable bokeh with various styles. There is an 8MP front camera with f/2.0 aperture and ZEISS optics.

The Android One smartphone runs on Android 9 Pie and is upgradable to Android 10. This also packs a 3500mAh battery.

It has a back-mounted fingerprint sensor and a side-mounted Google Assistant button as well. Connectivity features are 3.5 mm headphone jack, Dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5, GPS + GLONASS, and Type-C 2.0.

Dimensions of the phone are 159.88 x 75.11 x 8.25mm, its weight is 180g and it comes in Ceramic Black and Ice colors.

Price & Availability

The Nokia 6.2 price starts at €199 (Rs. 15,700 approx.) for the 3GB + 32GB model and goes up to €249 (Rs. 19,700 approx.) for the 4GB + 64GB model. It will be available from October.
