Samsung announced two new phones Galaxy A50s and A30s in India today. The latest mid-range Galaxy A50s is the successor to Galaxy A50 that was launched back in February this year. The Galaxy A50s comes with mostly similar features to A50 except for the camera.
The new Samsung Galaxy A50s comes with an upgraded Exynos 9611 hardware and camera system which includes a 48MP primary camera and a 32MP front camera. Rest of the features like FHD+ Super AMOLED display and 4,000mAh battery are the same as A50.
The new Galaxy A50s also sports new prism cut geometric pattern with holographic effect on the back and comes in Prism Crush Black, Prism Crush White and Prism Crush Violet colors. Let’s check out its full specs, price, and availability in India.
Samsung Galaxy A50s Specifications
The Galaxy A50s comes with a 6.4-inch Full HD+(2340 x 1080 pixels) Infinity-U type Super AMOLED display. It also features an in-display fingerprint scanner just like A50. The phone runs on Android 9 Pie with OneUI on top.
Powering the device is the new Exynos 9611 10nm processor with Mali-G72 MP3 GPU. It is further paired with up to 6GB RAM and packs 128GB storage which is expandable up to 512GB via micro SD card.
Its triple rear camera set up has a 48MP primary camera with f/2.0 aperture, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 5MP depth sensor. The ultra-wide camera can shoot smooth videos, even in fast-action moments. It has a 32MP front camera with f/2.0 aperture.
Connectivity options are Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5, GPS + GLONASS, USB Type-C, and 3.5mm jack. The device is powered by a 4,000mAh battery with 15W fast charging support.
Dimensions of the handset are 158.5 x 74.5 x 7.7mm and its weight is just 169g.
Price & Availability
The Galaxy A50s price in India starts at Rs. 22,999 for the 4GB RAM + 128GB storage version. The 6GB RAM + 128GB storage version costs Rs. 24,999. It will be available via offline stores, Samsung e-shop & major online portals starting from today, September 11.
The launch offers include double data on select plans for Jio and Airtel users and Rs. 75 cashback for Vodafone and Idea customers.
