Vivo V17 Pro Quick Overview

Design & Display: Glass back, AMOLED panel

The Vivo V17 Pro comes with a gradient glass back with Gorilla Glass 6 protection. It comes in Midnight Ocean and Glacier Ice colors, and both look good. Dimensions of the device are 159 x 74.70 x 9.8 mm, and it weighs 201.8 g. This makes it a little bit heavy and thick.

At the front, there is a 6.44-inch Full HD+(2400×1080 pixels) Super AMOLED panel with 20:9 aspect ratio and 91.65% screen-to-body ratio, because of the pop-up design. The panel is protected by Schott Xensation glass and also features an in-display fingerprint scanner.

Rear Camera: 48MP quad camera

The phone sports a quad-camera setup on the back. There is a 48-megapixel primary camera with Sony IMX582 sensor and f/1.8 aperture. It has an 8-megapixel 120° ultrawide sensor that can also shoot 2.5cm macro shots, a 13-megapixel telephoto lens for 2x optical and 10x digital zoom and a 2-megapixel depth camera.

Selfie Camera: 32MP dual camera

There is a dual pop-up camera setup at the front with a 32-megapixel camera with an f/2.0 aperture and an 8-megapixel super-wide-angle camera with 105-degree field of view. The front camera also comes with Super Night and a Shot Refocus modes.

Processor: Still Snapdragon 675?

The Vivo V17 Pro is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 processor. To recall, this is an old processor which has been used by some budget phones as well. It is further paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.

Battery & other features

The device packs a 4100mAh battery with 18W Dual-Engine fast charging support. Connectivity features are dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac dual-band, Bluetooth 5, GPS/GLONASS, and USB Type-C. It runs Funtouch OS 9.1 based on Android 9 Pie.

Wrapping Up

Vivo V17 Pro

The V17 Pro is priced at Rs. 29,990 for the only 8GB RAM and 128GB storage version. In a time when brands like Realme and Xiaomi are bringing quad cameras and glass back, features under Rs. 20,000, and that too with much powerful hardware, Vivo’s phone looks a bit overpriced. Rest is up to you guys, if you like the fancy dual selfie camera set up that much, you can go for this phone.
