Motorola has lately announced a new foldable smartphone launch, set for November 13 in Los Angeles. The press invites for the same reads ‘An original, unlike any other’ followed by the phrase ‘You’re going to flip,’ which is a clear hint towards the clamshell design. And certainly, it’s the 2019 version of the iconic Moto Razr, which has been in talks for a while now.

As per the leaked official renders, the new Razr has a large 6.2-inch display with 876 × 2142 resolution that folds from the middle. The display also has a notch on the top and a very thick chin at the bottom. When folded, the panel would act as a 600 x 800p secondary display with limited functionality, including notifications.

Powering the phones is the HiSilicon Kirin 810 SoC, which is a quite powerful chip, based on the 7nm FinFet process. The Honor 9X flaunts a 48-megapixel primary camera and a 2-megapixel depth camera, while the Pro gets an extra 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor. The phone has lately received BIS certification and is said to offer a quad-camera setup similar to the one on the Realme 5. The device might go through some key changes in internals, but majorly of things are expected to stay the same.
