Upcoming Phones for November 2019
Realme X2 Pro
Realme has already introduced its flagship device, Realme X2 Pro, in China and European markets. Following the same, the company has also confirmed the India launch for November 20. For starters, the Realme X2 Pro gets a 90Hz Fluid AMOLED display, Snapdragon 855 Plus processor with UFS 3.0 storage, and an in-display fingerprint scanner.
The device features a quad camera setup with a 64-megapixel Samsung GW1 sensor and a 13-megapixel Telephoto lens for up to 20x hybrid zoom. The Realme X2 Pro was launched in China starting at CNY 2,699, which roughly translates to Rs. 27,000. We expect the Indian pricing to be more or less similar, as the phone will be competing against the likes of Xiaomi in the country. Besides, the company is also tipped to launch the Realme XT 730G in December, which may arrive early, alongside the X2 Pro in India.
Mi Note 10 (Mi CC9 Pro), Mi Note 10 Pro
Xiaomi is all set for the launch of Mi CC9 Pro on November 5, which will debut globally as Mi Note 10 on Nov 14. The phone is teased to bear a total of five cameras at the rear, comprising a 108-megapixel primary sensor for crisp, high-resolution images.
There will also be a 5-megapixel telephoto lens with up to 5x optical zoom, 10x hybrid zoom, and 50x digital zoom. Other lenses will comprise a 20-megapixel ultra-wide-angle shooter, a 12-megapixel depth sensor, and a 2-megapixel macro camera.
The device will come with a Super AMOLED display with curved edges and is said to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G processor. It’ll also boast an in-display fingerprint scanner and a whopping 5,270mAh battery, touted to charge within 65 minutes, thanks to 30W fast charging.
If rumors are to be believed, Xiaomi might also unveil a Pro variant with a 120Hz display and top-of-the-line Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ chip onboard.
Moto Razr 2019
Motorola has lately announced a new foldable smartphone launch, set for November 13 in Los Angeles. The press invites for the same reads ‘An original, unlike any other’ followed by the phrase ‘You’re going to flip,’ which is a clear hint towards the clamshell design. And certainly, it’s the 2019 version of the iconic Moto Razr, which has been in talks for a while now.
As per the leaked official renders, the new Razr has a large 6.2-inch display with 876 × 2142 resolution that folds from the middle. The display also has a notch on the top and a very thick chin at the bottom. When folded, the panel would act as a 600 x 800p secondary display with limited functionality, including notifications.
The phone is also said to feature Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 SoC, up to 6GB RAM, up to 128GB of onboard storage, and a 2,730mAh battery. As for the price, the device may launch for as high as EUR 1,500 (roughly Rs. 1,19,000) for the European market.
Redmi Note 8T
In addition to the CC9 Pro, Xiaomi is also tipped to launch Redmi Note 8T in China. It is basically a rebranded version of the Redmi Note 8, which is currently being sold in India. However, it gets NFC onboard as one of the critical differences.
Amongst other specifications, the phone will feature a 6.39-inch Full HD+ display with dot-notch for a 13-megapixel selfie camera. Under the hood, it’ll be powered by Snapdragon 665 SoC with up to 6GB RAM and 128GB ROM.
The handset will get a total of four cameras at the rear. This will include a 48-megapixel primary, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens with a 120-degree field of view, a 2-megapixel Macro lens, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. Besides, it’ll have a 4,000mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging.
Motorola One Hyper
Being yet another phone in Motorola’s One-series, the Moto One Hyper will certainly be the company’s first smartphone to arrive with a pop-up camera, which is likely to be a 32-megapixel sensor.
The phone might get a 64-megapixel rear camera, clubbed with a secondary depth sensor. The rest of the tipped specifications include a 6.39-inch full-HD+ IPS LCD display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 chipset with 4/128GB RAM, and storage, 3,600mAh battery and a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner with LED backlighting.
As of now, there’s no official word regarding the launch or pricing, but we expect the phone to arrive somewhere around INR 25,000- INR 30,000 in India.
Huawei’s sub-brand Honor unveiled the Honor 9X and Honor 9X Pro in China, back in July this year. Following the announcement, the brand confirmed that the series would be released in India by the year-end. And since we haven’t seen any major announcements for quite a while now, the chances are that the company might launch the phones by the end of November itself.
As for the specifications, both the Honor 9X and 9X Pro get a 6.59-inch Full HD+ LCD with a notch-less design and pop-up camera. There’s a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, followed by USB Type-C, which aids charging for the given 4,000mAh battery.
Powering the phones is the HiSilicon Kirin 810 SoC, which is a quite powerful chip, based on the 7nm FinFet process. The Honor 9X flaunts a 48-megapixel primary camera and a 2-megapixel depth camera, while the Pro gets an extra 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor. The Pro also gets up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage while the former settles at 6GB/128GB for the top-end variant.
Realme 5s/ 5i
In addition to Realme X2 Pro and XT 730G, the company might also launch Realme 5s as a new addition to its budget smartphone lineup. Just like Realme 3i, the Realme 5s is expected to offer minor upgrades over its sibling, i.e. the standard Realme 5.
The phone has lately received BIS certification and is said to offer a quad-camera setup similar to the one on the Realme 5. The device might go through some key changes in internals, but majorly of things are expected to stay the same.
Honor V30-series: Honor V30 & Honor V30 Pro
That said, both the Honor V30 and Honor V30 Pro are tipped to be powered by Kirin 990 chip with 5G models in conjunction, and 60-megapixel primary cameras. The regular V30 will get LCD display with punch-hole, followed by triple rear cameras and a 4,000mAh battery with 22.5W SuperCharge support.
The Pro, on the other hand, is said to offer an AMOLED display with a dual punch hole and quad rear camera setup. It might also feature a larger 4,200mAh battery with support for 40W SuperCharge and 15W wireless charging.
