Vivo announced a new smartphone in its S series Vivo S5 in China. The key features of the phone include a 6.44-inch FHD+ AMOLED display, a 32-megapixel in-screen front camera, a quad rear camera setup with a 48-megapixel sensor, Snapdragon 712 with 8GB RAM, 3D glass back and a 4100mAh battery with 22.5W Vivo Flash Charge flash charging.
Vivo S5 Specifications
The new Vivo S5 sports a 6.44-inch Full HD+(2400 × 1080 pixels) AMOLED screen with 2.98mm bottom bezels and it offers 91.38% screen-to-body ratio. The device also sports an in-display fingerprint sensor.
The phone is powered by Octa-Core Snapdragon 712 10nm processor with Adreno 616 GPU. It is paired with 8GB LPPDDR4x RAM and up to 256GB storage. The smartphone runs on Funtouch OS 9 based on Android 9.0 Pie.
The quad-camera set up at the back has a 48MP primary camera with f/1.79 aperture, an 8MP wide-angle camera with f/2.2 aperture, a 5MP depth sensor, and a 2MP macro camera. There is a 32MP front camera with f/2.4 aperture.
Connectivity options include Dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5, GPS + GLONASS, USB Type-C, and 3.5mm audio jack. The phone is powered by a 4,100 mAh battery with 22.5W fast charging support that lets you charge up to 50% in half an hour.
The handset comes in Black, Blue and Light Blue colors. Dimensions of the handset are 157.9×73.92×8.64mm and its weight is 188g.
Price & Availability
The Vivo S5 price starts at 2698 yuan (Rs. 27,600 approx.) for the 8GB + 128GB version and the 8GB + 256GB version costs 2998 yuan (Rs. 30,700 approx.). The phone is currently available for order in China and will go on sale from November 22. The company may soon launch it in India.
