New mAadhaar App Offers All Services Related to Aadhaar Card; Details Here

The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has launched a new version of its mAadhaar app for both Android and iOS devices. UIDAI says users should delete the previous app and install the new version. Also, third-party apps are not supported anymore.

With the help of this new mAadhaar app, you can avail of several services offered by UIDAI such as download Aadhaar card, offline eKYC, order a reprint, update address, verify Aadhaar, verify mobile/email, retrieve UID/EID, and check the status of online requests.

Setup the mAadhaar App

You need to have your phone number registered with the UIDAI to use the mAadhaar app. After downloading the app, enter your mobile number and an OTP will be sent to your number. Enter this OTP and you are good to go.  The app supports 13 languages, including English and 12 Indian languages.

So you can choose your preferred language and start using the app. After that add your Aadhaar card details and you can use the services.

mAadhaar Services

Download Aadhaar

You can download the Aadhaar card using this app. For this, you have to enter your Aadhaar number, virtual ID or Enrolment ID and you will be able to download the digital copy of your Aadhaar card.

Order Aadhaar Reprint

You can order the print of your Aadhaar card using the app. For this, you need to enter your registered or unregistered mobile number and Aaadhar card details. To be noted, this is a paid service and you will have to pay a nominal fee of Rs. 50. Your printed Aadhaar card will be delivered to your address via speed post.

Update Address Online

This is one of the most important features of the mAadhaar app. If you have changed your address buy your Aadhaar card still has the old one, you can update your address using the app. All you have to do is enter Aadhaar number, security captcha and then enter details of your new address.

Paperless Offline e-KYC

You can also do offline e-KYC using this app. For this, you have to create a four-digit share code to secure your paperless KYC. To be noted, you should remember this code as it will be required to unzip the e-KYC file later.

QR Code Scanner/Generate QR Code

There is a QR code on your Aadhaar card, so you can scan that code and add card details directly to the app. You can even generate QR code for your Aadhaar card, in case you don’t have it already.

Virtual ID Generator

Virtual ID is an alternate Aadhaar ID that can be used in place of Aadhaar number at may places. You can create a virtual ID using your Aadhaar card number within this app.

Verify Aadhaar/Email/Mobile

If your mobile number and email ID are not verified with the Aadhaar system, you can verify these two, using your Aadhaar details. Also, you can similarly verify your Aadhaar card as well.

Retrieve EID/UID

If you have lost your Aadhaar card and want to retrieve your Aadhaar card number, you can do this using the app. Also, if you have only applied for the Aadhaar and lost your EID, you can retrieve it as well.

Aadhaar Update History

You can also check Aadhaar update history using the app. It will show you how many times your Aadhaar has been updated.

Request Adress Validation Letter

You can request an address validation letter if you have changed your address. This letter will verify your new address with the Aadhaar card.

Aadhaar Status Service

In this section, you can check the status of your Aadhaar card, in case you have applied for one. You can also check Aadhaar update status, address update status, Aaadhar linking in bank status as well.

Enrollment Center

Lastly, you can also search for a nearby Aadhaar enrollment center from your location. The app will show you through the map and you can go apply for Aadhaar.
