ZTE’s nubia brand announced its RedMagic 5G smartphone in China today. The company’s latest flagship phone comes packed with features like a 6.65-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with 144Hz refresh rate, in-screen fingerprint scanner, Snapdragon 865 with up to 16GB LPDDR5 RAM, new Active Liquid-Cooling, Shoulder Trigger Buttons, 64MP Sony IMX686 main camera, and a 4,500mAh battery with 55W fast charging support.
Nubia has priced it aggressively in China and it starts at just 3799 yuan (Rs. 40,265 approx.). With such features at this price, the new RedMagic becomes worth waiting for in India. Lets check out its top features here.
Nubia RedMagic 5G Features
144Hz Display
The RedMagic 5G sports a 6.65-inch Full HD+(1080 × 2340 pixels) 19.5:9 aspect ratio AMOLED display. It comes with 144Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate that offers sliding response time of 45ms and click response time of 32.2ms. The phone also has biometric in-display fingerprint sensor.
Snapdragon 865, LPDDR5 RAM, UFS 3.1
The device is powered by the Snapdragon 865 7nm processor with Adreno 650 GPU. It is paired with the latest LPDDR5 RAM that comes up to 16GB and also has the latest UFS 3.1 stoarge that comes up to 256GB.
Liquid Cooling
The RedMagic 5G comes with new Active Liquid-Cooling that has new L-shaped cooling pipe, multi-layer thermal graphite and Turbo Fan 3.0 that makes it 200% cooler from previous RedMagic phones. The turbo fan has increased the air flow volume by 30%.
64MP Sony IMX686 Camera
The device sports a triple rear camera setup that has a 64MP main camera with Sony IMX686 sensor, 0.8μm pixel size, f/1.8 aperture, PDAF, an 8MP 120-degree ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP macro camera. There is a 12MP front camera.
5G Connectivity
The smartphone comes with 5G connectivity and supports both 5G NSA & SA networks. Other connectivity features include Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6 802.11 ax (2.4GHz + 5GHz + 5.8GHz), Bluetooth 5.1, GPS + GLONASS, 3.5mm audio jack, and USB Type-C.
55W Fast Charging
The phone is powered by a 4500mAh battery. It comes with 55W fast charging support and a fast charger comes bundled inside the box.
Trigger Buttons
Another feature for gaming are trigger buttons. The new RedMagic uses dual IC game shoulder trigger buttons that have been improved from previous RedMagic. These buttons come with 300Hz touch refresh rate and offers touch delay down to 2ms.

Dimensions of the handset are 168.56×78×9.75mm and its weight is 218g. The smartphone comes in Black, Mars Red, and Cyber Neon colors and there is a limited Transparent Edition as well.

Price, Availability
The RedMagic 5G price starts at 3799 yuan (Rs. 40,265 approx.) for the 8GB+128GB version and goes up to 4999 yuan (Rs. 52,965 approx.) for the top-end 16GB+256GB version. The transparent edition with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage is priced at 4599 yuan (Rs. 48,725 approx.).
The handset is currently available for pre-order in China and will go on sale from March 19. The phone will be available globally including India in April.
