Xiaomi’s Redmi brand launched the Redmi K30 flagship smartphone at an event in China today. The key features of the smartphone include 6.67-inch E3 Super AMOLED screen, Snapdragon 865 with 5G SA/NSA support, liquid-cooling, Android 10 with MIUI 11, quad rear camera with 64MP Sony IMX686 sensor, 20MP pop-up front camera and 4700mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging. The phone comes in normal and Zoom Edition and the latter supports up to 30x zoom.
Redmi K30 Pro Full Specs
The Redmi K30 Pro sports a 6.67-inch Full HD+ (2400 × 1080 pixels) E3 AMOLED display with HDR10 + support and Gorilla Glass 5 protection. It has an in-display fingerprint sensor. The smartphone runs on MIUI 11 based on Android 10.
The phone is powered by a Snapdragon 865 7nm processor with Adreno 650 GPU. It is paired with up to 8GB LPPDDR5 RAM and up to 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. The device has a liquid-cooled heat sink, Game Turbo 3.0, and 4D vibration for better gaming.
The quad-camera setup has a 64MP Sony IMX686 sensor with f/1.69 aperture, OIS, a 13MP 123° ultra-wide-angle lens, and a depth of field lens. The normal version has a 5MP 50mm equivalent telephoto lens with 3cm ~ 7cm autofocus macro and zoom edition has an 8MP telephoto lens for 3x optical zoom, and 30x digital zoom.
The rear camera supports 8k 30fps, 4k 60fps, and 960fps slow-motion at 1080p.
The smartphone sports a 20MP front camera with 120fps slow-motion support. The pop-up camera comes with a 3D sensing system and built-in custom fall protection spring which provides protection from falling.
Connectivity features on the phone include 5G SA/NSA, Dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 6 802.11 ax (2.4GHz + 5GHz) MU-MIMO, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS (L1 + L5), NFC, and USB Type-C.
The device is powered by a 4700mAh battery with 33W fast charging support that can charge the phone from 0 to 100 percent in 63 minutes.
The new Redmi K30 Pro sports a 3D glass back with AG technology, Gorilla Glass 5 protection, and IP53 water-resistant rating. The device comes in White, Blue, Gray and Purple colors. Dimensions of the phone are 163.3 x 75.4 x 8.9 mm and its weight is 218g.

The 5MP telephoto lens in the normal version is also the industry’s first true telephoto macro lens. The phone also comes with a Super Bluetooth chip alongside Bluetooth 5.1 that can expand the range up to 400 meters without disconnection and latency.
Price, Availability
Redmi K30 Pro price starts at (Rs. 32,250 approx.) for the 6GB + 128GB version and goes up to 3699 yuan (Rs. 39,780 approx.) for the 8GB + 256GB version. The Zoom Edition with 8GB + 128GB version is priced at 3799 yuan (Rs. 40,850 approx.).
The handset will go on sale from March 27 in China and it is expected to be launched as POCO F2 in India.
