Coronavirus pandemic has hit the world really hard and the number of COVID-19 cases is rising each passing day. As of now, there are more than 2.8 million Corona positive cases around the world and in India, the number has jumped to more than 24k.
All governments across the globe are trying their best to test more people and to limit the virus from spreading. The Indian government has also been working proactively to test as many people as it can.
According to the Indian Council of Medical Research, there are a total of 126 government approved and supported COVID-19 testing labs in India as on April 1. Also, 9 other labs are in the pipeline.

Apart from these labs, some cities have only collection centers for taking samples of COVID-19 suspected patients. These include Gangtok (Sikkim), Leh (Ladakh), and Naharlagun (Arunachal Pradesh).
As stated above, there are 9 other labs that are in pipeline in various states including Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Madhya Pradesh.
