After some delay due to coronavirus lockdown in the country, Xiaomi finally launched its Mi 10 5G smartphone in India today. The highlight of the smartphone is, of course, its 108MP camera, which the company has been teasing for a long time. Other key features of the Mi 10 are  6.67-inch Full HD+ curved AMOLED 90Hz display, Snapdragon 865, 5G SA/NSA support, and a 4780mAh battery with 30W wired and wireless fast charging support.

3D Glass Back Design

The smartphone comes with a 3D glass back design with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The device comes in Coral Green and Twilight Grey colors. Dimensions of the phone are 162.6×74.8×8.96mm and its weight is 208g.

90Hz AMOLED Display

The Mi 10 sports a 6.67-inch Full HD+ (2340 × 1080 pixels) AMOLED display with HDR10+ support and 90Hz refresh rate. The display has 800nits brightness. It is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5.

Snapdragon 865 with 5G Support

The phone is powered by Octa-Core Snapdragon 865 7nm processor with Adreno 650 GPU. It comes with 5G SA/NSA support with Snapdragon X55 modem.

LPDDR5 RAM, UFS 3.0 Storage

The new Xiaomi flagship also packs the latest LPPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.0 type storage. It comes with up to 12GB LPPDDR5 RAM and up to 256GB UFS 3.0 storage.

Android 10

The smartphone is running on MIUI 11 which is based on Android 10. It is also expected to get MIUI update soon.

108MP Camera

The quad-camera setup at the back has a 108MP primary camera with a Samsung sensor, 0.8μm pixel size, f/1.69 aperture, OIS, a 13MP 123° ultra-wide-angle lens, a 2MP depth sensor, and a 2MP macro lens. The camera supports up to 8k recording at 30fps, 4k at 60fps, and 960fps slo-mo at 720p.

There is a 20MP front-facing camera in the punch-hole of the screen.

The phone doesn’t have a 3.5mm jack and comes with USB Type-C audio. It comes with Hi-Res audio support and 1216 1.0cc stereo speakers with LHDC support.

Apart from 5G SA/NSA networks, it also supports Dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 6 802.11 ax (2.4GHz + 5GHz) 8 x / MU-MIMO, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS (L1 + L5), and NFC.

Battery and Fast Charging

The device is powered by a 4780mAh battery with 30W QC 4+ and PD3.0 wired fast charging. It also supports 30W wireless fast charging as well as 10w wireless reverse charging.

The company also launched the Mi 30W wireless charger alongside the device, at Rs. 2299. However, it will be available at Rs. 1999 for a limited period.

Mi 10 price in India starts at Rs. 49,999 for the 8GB+128GB version, while the 8GB+256GB version is priced at Rs. 54,999. The phone will go on sale via Amazon.in, and mi.com. The pre-orders have already started today, May 8 at 2 PM.
