Realme Narzo 10: Should You Buy This Phone For Rs. 12k?

After several times of delay, Realme finally launched the Narzo 10 series in India. The Narzo 10 is the latest smartphone in the new Narzo series that comes with features like a 6.5-inch HD+ mini-drop notch display, the latest Helio G80 12nm SoC, 48-megapixel quad camera, Android 10 with realme UI, and a 5000mAh battery with 18W fast charging.

The realme Narzo 10 is priced at Rs. 11,999 and it will go on sale via Flipkart and realme.com starting from May 18. Let’s check out some reasons to buy this phone and reasons not to buy this.

Reasons to Buy Narzo 10

New Gradient Design

The new Narzo 10 features a plastic back and front glass design. It features a new gradient design on the back panel that spray painting process and is created by Japanese designer Naoto Fukasawa, who also designed special editions of Realme X. The phone comes in That White and That Green colors.

Dimensions of the phone are 164.4 x 75.x 9.0mm and ist weight is 195g. Upfront, it features a mini-drop notch display with an 89.8% screen-to-body ratio.


Helio G80 Processor

The phone is powered by the latest MediaTek Helio G80 12nm processor. The chipset has 2x 2GHz Cortex-A75 cores and 6x 1.8GHz Cortex-A55 CPUs. It comes with ARM Mali-G52 2EEMC2 GPU.

The device is packed with 4GB LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB eMMC 5.1 storage. The storage is also expandable up to 256GB with microSD.

Latest Software

The smartphone runs on the latest realme UI that is based on Android 10. The news UI comes with several new features including new customizable icons.

48MP Quad Camera

The quad-camera setup on the back consists of a 48MP main camera with f/1.8 aperture, LED flash, PDAF, an 8MP 119° ultra-wide sensor, a 2MP 4cm macro and a 2MP Black & White depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture. There is a 16MP front camera with f/2.0 aperture.

Big Battery & Fast Charger

The phone is fueled by a big 5000mAh battery with 18W fast charging with USB Type-C. The phone also supports reverse charging.

Reason Not to Buy Narzo 10

HD+ Display

Despite all these good features for this price, the phone still sports an HD+ panel. The 6.5-inch mini-drop display comes with only HD+(1600 x 720 pixels) resolution. Also, when some smartphones in this price range come with GG5 protection, this phone still has Corning Gorilla Glass 3+ protection.

So, these were some features by which you can decide whether you should buy this new Realme phone or not. At Rs. 12,000, the phone has a good processor, a good camera, a big battery, and the latest software. However, an HD+ display, that too with older notch design can be a turn-off for many. Still, if the display part doesn’t bother you much, you can go for this Narzo device.
