After a ban of almost two months in India, recently PUBG Mobile was officially confirmed to launch in the country. Dubbed as PUBG Mobile India, the battle royale game will be curated especially for Indian users. For PUBG fans, it has been a tough time over the past few months after the Government of India banned the game as well as some other Chinese apps over security concerns. Q. When is PUBG Mobile India releasing?

A.  As of now, there is no official date of the release of PUBG Mobile India is confirmed yet. There are a lot of dates floating around the internet though. However, PUBG Corporation and its Indian subsidiary haven’t yet announced any official date and their teaser on the official website and social media just say “coming soon”.

Some reports also say that it will launch today on November 24 and there will be a prize pool of Rs. 6 crores. So, there is an expectation that the game will be released very soon.

Q. What are the new changes in PUBG Mobile India?

A. PUBG Corporation says that the game has been created especially for Indian gamers as various aspects of the game are customized for Indian users. For example, the game is now being set in a simulation training ground with effects that reflect the virtual nature of the game, and characters will automatically be clothed, etc.

Q. How can I install PUBG Mobile India? 

A. The APK of the game was released on the official website of the company for some time a few days back. However, the users faced difficulties in downloading it. Now, the link is gone and it may be available anytime soon.

Also, it will also be available on Play Store and App Store so you will be able to download it from there.

Q. Can I pre-register for PUBG Mobile India? 

A. As of now, the India website and social media say ‘Coming Soon.’ So you cannot pre-register for the game before it releases officially.

However, a couple of days back, a report was doing rounds of the internet that you could pre-register for the game on the TapTap app. However, that didn’t seem authentic and PUBG Corporation also hasn’t confirmed the TapTap listing.

Q. Will this time there be no issue of data security? 

A. As we know, the game was banned in India because of security reasons. So this time PUBG Corporation is taking extra care of that. The company says that there will be regular audits of the data storage where the Indian users’ data will be stored.

Moreover, the Indian version will also include a feature to place restrictions on game time to offer healthy playing habits for younger players.

Q. What will happen to the old user data of PUBG Mobile? 

A. There is another good news for PUBG fans. As per the reports, the old user data of PUBG Mobile will be carried forward. That means Indian users can use gamer IDs that they used for PUBG Mobile before the ban and there will no need to create a separate ID for PUBG Mobile India. Moreover, users will also be able to carry forward all the game progress, rewards, skins, etc.

PUBG banned in India back in September this year as part of the crackdown on Chinese apps by the government after the border tension between the two countries. As many as 118 Chinese apps were banned in India, including Tiktok, UC Browser, Shareit, etc.

For now, there is no official clarification from the company regarding the regulatory permissions from the government authorities to launch the game. Still, with the official announcement for the launch, we can expect that could not be a long wait.
