How to Undo ‘Delete For Me’ WhatsApp Messages

WhatsApp always announces a new chat feature to overcome the shortcomings of a previous feature. To recall, WhatsApp introduced the “delete for everyone” feature to avoid accidental texts or typos. However, this feature also had some drawbacks, as when you delete a message, there is an option “delete for me,” and when someone by mistake taps it, the message gets deleted from his chat. Still, it gets delivered to the other end, which can be even more troublesome. So, to overcome this, WhatsApp is bringing a undo button for deleted messages. Read on to know how it’ll work.

Undo ‘Delete For Me’ WhatsApp Messages

To be noted, undo button for deleted chats is already available in other instant messaging apps like Telegram. As we know, WhatsApp always tries to take on other apps, especially Telegram. So it is also working on the same. As per WABetaInfo, the “WhatsApp undo button” is already under development and will be available soon.

With this new update, when someone accidentally taps the “delete for me” option in a WhatsApp chat,  a pop-up asking to undo the action will appear at the bottom next to the delete message notification. You can see the same in the screenshot below. Just tap on the “Undo” button, and your message will reappear in the chat.
