Display and Processor

The Nokia X comes with a 4 inch IPS LCD display which has a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels and a pixel density of 233 ppi. The Moto E on the other hand has a bigger display with a size of 4.3 inches and a resolution of 960 x 540 pixels. It has a pixel density of 256 ppi and gets Corning Gorilla Glass 3 on top for protection. So this one goes to Moto E.

The Nokia X gets a 1GHz Qualcomm MSM8225 Snapdragon S4 Play processor under the hood coupled with a 512MB RAM. The Moto E on the other hand has a 1.2 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor coupled with a 1GB RAM and the Moto E comes across as a better performer in this regard.

Camera and Internal Storage

The Moto E has a 5MP rear camera without a flash and the Nokia X gets a 3.2MP rear camera without a LED flash too. Both of them lack a front camera unit. The Moto E emerges as the better one in this regard courtesy of the better rear snapper.

The internal storage capacity of both the smartphones is 4GB which can be expanded by another 32GB with the help of a microSD card. So there are no favourites in this regard. The two go pretty close to each other in terms of the imaging and storage department.

Battery and Features

The battery unit of the Moto E is a 1,980 mAh one which will easily last you a little over a day and the one of the Nokia X is a 1,500 mAh unit. It will last you a single day on a charge. The Moto E is expected to last longer than the Nokia offering due to a bigger capacity.

The Nokia X runs on Android Open Source Project (AOSP) based on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. Apps can be downloaded from Nokia’s app store or can be side-loaded on to the device. The Moto E on the other hand runs on almost stock Android 4.4 KitKat and Motorola has promised an upgrade to the next version of Android too so that it quite a good thing. This one goes to the Moto E.
