Yu Yunique Question Answer FAQ- Doubts Cleared

Micromax has been promising with its phones in the recent times and always tried to push something new for the users. This time, Micromax with Yu Televentures has come up with another entry in the low cost segment with the new Yu Yunique. The phone is available at a very affordable cost of Rs. 4,999 and offers interesting features for the consumers. We have the Yu Yunique at our base, let’s find out what’s so ‘unique’ in the phone.

Question – Does Yu Yunique have Corning Gorilla Glass Protection?

Answer – Yes, Yu Yunique does offer you a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection.


Question – How is the Display on Yu Yunique?

Answer –  Yu Yunique carries a 4.7″ IPS LCD which delivers High Deifinition, there is a light tint of blue on the screen and the colours are bright. The display does a fair job considering the price of the phone.

Question – How is the Design and Build Quality?

Answer –  Yu Yunique looks pretty decent, grip on it is also not bad as it is a 4.7″ phone. It is light in weight and comes in a decent built considering the low pricing of the phone. The back cover is molded with plastic and  the device does not have a removable battery which is a drawback. Overall the built quality is decent according to the price.

Question – What is the SAR Value?

Answer –  0.35W/kg@1gm (Head) 0.80W/kg@1gm (Body)

Question – Are the capacitive navigation keys backlit?

Answer – The Yu Yunique does not have a capacitive navigation keys. Onscreen buttons are present for navigation.

Question – Is there any heating issue in Yu Yunique?

Answer – Till now we did not experience much of heating on the device.

Question – What comes inside the Box?

Answer – 0.7 A charger,  microUSB, documentation and headphones are present in the box.

Question – What size SIM card is supported?

Answer –  Both SIM card slots accept Micro SIM cards.

Question – Does it have LED notification light?

Answer – Yes, LED notification light is present

Question – How much is Free Storage?

Answer – Out of 8GB, 4.61GB is available at user end.

Question – Does it support USB OTG?

Answer – Yes, USB OTG is supported. We didn’t get any notification after connecting a flash drive but when we dug into the storage we found the drive was visible and the files were accesible.

Question – How much is free RAM on first boot?

Answer – Out of 1GB, a little less than 500MB RAM is free on first boot.

Question – How is the Camera Quality?

Answer – The 8MP rear shooter is average, the details and colours were not bad. We noticed a blue tint while clicking with the rear camera. The 2MP front camera works convincing to take day light or indoor selfies. At this price range, the camera is not bad overall.

Question – How is the performance?

Answer –On the initial testing we did not face any lag while multitasking or switching between the apps. The operations were smooth and fast , we are still using the phone and will keep you updated with further reviews. The Yu Yunique scored 19554 on AnTuTu benchmark test and 31.1 fps in Nenamark2 testing.

Question – How many sensors does Yu Yunique have?

Answer –  The Yu Yunique features only 3 sensors which include Proximity sensor, Triaxial Sensor and Light Sensor.

Question – How loud is Loudspeaker?

Answer – .The loudspeaker sounds just like any other phone of its range, does not deliver something special to impress the listeners.

Question – How is the battery backup?

Answer – The showed decent performance while testing the phone initially. The charging speed was quick. It scored 3846 on the AnTuTu battery test which is below average. We will talk more about day to day battery backup after our full review.

Conclusion

Yu Yunique seems to be a pretty convincing phone in its price range. Though the phone does not have anything extraordinary to offer to its customers but still the specs look convincing on paper. The built and packaging is fine in quality and the design looks pretty in hand too. Not a bad deal to make if you plan to buy a low budget phone.
