Micromax Dual 5 Gaming And Battery Performance

Micromax Dual 5 is the company’s latest flagship to be launched in India. The smartphone comes with three 13 MP Sony cameras. Two of them are placed at the back, while the other is for taking selfies. Other noteworthy aspects of the Micromax Dual 5 are its AMOLED display and the Snapdragon 652 chipset.

Coming down to the detailed battery and gaming side, the Micromax Dual 5 performed well. We played Modern Combat 5 and Asphalt 8, each for 15 minutes and the battery and all over gaming result was good. To check the battery performance, we tested the battery with Lab 501 application.

Battery Performance

The Micromax Dual 5’s battery works just like all the other smartphones. The battery responds in different ways in different activities. When I tested the phone’s camera, the battery consumption was less at first, but as soon as I started other activities alongside using its camera, the battery didn’t perform well. For better understanding I used Lab 501 application, you can see the results below.

Battery results were not that shocking and went average. It consumed 3% battery in 31 minutes, which is good.

Gaming Performance

We played Modern Combat 5 and Asphalt 8, each for 15 minutes. Both the games had different impacts on the device. While we played Modern Combat 5, Micromax Dual 5 got warm to an above average level.

Battery dropped by 14% in 15 minutes and it was becoming hard to hold the phone. But, we would blame the background applications for that. I was deliberately downloading apps in the background and the results were not good.

This was made better when we closed all the applications and played Asphalt 8 on the Micromax Dual 5.

We played the game for 15 minutes and battery this time, dropped by 4% and phone didn’t get that warm.

Conclusion

The Micromax Dual 5 is a decent smartphone. The device enables you to have good gaming experience and even the sound is good. Although the main feature on board is dual camera, the battery and gaming experience is also decent. you have to take care of the applications running in the background. The Micromax Dual 5 is priced at Rs. 24,999.
