Gionee Elife E7 Mini VS Oppo N1 Mini

Display and Processor

The Gionee Elife E7 Mini flaunts a 4.7 inch IGZO display that packs HD 1280×720 pixel resolution translating to 312 ppi pixel density. On the other hand, the Oppo N1 Mini is fitted with a 5 inch IPS LCD display boasting a HD screen resolution of 1280×720 pixels that paves way for a pixel density of 294 pixels per inch. The IPS panel in the latter renders excellent viewing angles and color reproduction, whereas, the IGZO display panel consumes less power and is cost effective.

In terms of processing power, the Gionee phone incorporates an octa-core MediaTek MT6592 processor clocked at 1.7 GHz. This processor is coupled with a Mali-450MP4. Going by the comparison, the Oppo N1 Mini employs a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor paired with Adreno 305 graphics unit. On the multi-tasking department, there is 2 GB of RAM in the latter, while the Gionee phone has only 1 GB of RAM.

When it comes to the imaging department, both the smartphones come with 13 MP rotating camera that is paired with LED flash, auto focus and FHD video recording capabilities. These aspects make these smartphones interesting as they make clicking selfies an easy task with their rotating camera sensors. In our initial time with Oppo N1 Mini, its low light camera performance was better.

Again, on the storage front as well they are identical with 16 GB of native storage capacity that cannot be expanded as the devices lack a micro SD expandable storage support. However, this storage space should suffice in storing the necessary content such as default software, applications and multimedia content.

There is a 2,200 mAh battery in the Gionee Elife E7 Mini and a 2,140 mAh battery in the Oppo N1 Mini respectively. These batteries are rated to deliver a decent backup to these smartphones for them to last for long hours.

On the software front, the Gionee Elife E7 Mini runs on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, whereas the N1 Mini is based on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean operating system. Both have a heavy layers of customizations and we liked Color OS much better than Gionee’s Amigo UI. The connectivity features onboard these handsets include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC and 3G.
