Micromax Canvas Win W092 VS Win W121 Comparison Overview

Microsoft announced at its Build conference back in April that Micromax was going to be one of its partners for the Windows Phone devices and it has come out with two of its devices too couple of months after the announcement. It has just launched the Canvas Win W092 for Rs 6,500 and Canvas Win W121 for Rs 9,500. The two of them are pretty similar to each other in terms of specifications yet different from each other. Let us compare the two to find out which one’s better.

Display and Processor

The display unit of the Canvas Win A092 is a 4 inch one which has a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels. On the other hand, the Canvas Win W121 has a screen size of 5 inches and a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels so it definitely scores better than the younger sibling in terms of the screen.

The internals of both the devices are pretty much the same. They both come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 chipset which has four of its cores ticking at 1.2 GHz. It gets coupled with a 1GB RAM so the performance on offer would be quite snappy too.

Camera and Internal Storage

The Canvas Win W121 has an 8MP auto focus camera at the rear with a LED flash chipping in alongside it. It is joined in by a 2MP camera up front which does the job of clicking selfies and aiding video calls pretty well. The Canvas Win W092 comes with an inferior imaging department when compared to the elder sibling. It gets a 5MP fixed focus camera at the rear and a VGA camera up front. The camera quality wasn’t very good either.

The internal storage of both the smartphones stands at 8GB out of which roughly 6GB will be user available. But it is available for expansion by another 32GB with the help of a microSD card so things are pretty much sorted in that regard.

Battery and Operating System

The battery unit inside the Canvas Win W092 is a 1,500 mAh one which will last it a little under a day on a single charge but we can’t complain either as things don’t get any better either at this price point. The Canvas Win W121 comes shod with a 2,000 mAh battery which will surely last you a day on a single charge post moderate usage.

Both of them run on Windows Phone 8.1 which is the latest version of the operating system and will follow a similar update schedule in future too so there are no favourites in the regard.
