[table id=850 /]

Display

Moto G5 Plus

The Motorola Moto G5 Plus comes with a 5.2-inch Full HD (1080 x 1920) IPS LCD panel. The display sports decent color reproduction and sunlight legibility. Covered with the Corning Gorilla Glass 3, you should not worry about any scratches. Even though we don’t have any complaints regarding the screen quality, we do hope Motorola gave a 5.5-inch display.

Huawei Honor 6X

The Huawei Honor 6X, on the other hand, boasts a 5.5-inch Full HD (1080 x 1920) LTPS IPS LCD. The screen is beautiful and offers a pleasurable viewing experience. The 2.5D curvature further adds up to the premiumness of the device.

Hardware, Performance, and Memory

Speaking of the hardware, the Moto G5 Plus is powered by the popular Snapdragon 625 chipset. The octa-core processor consists of eight Cortex A53 CPUs clocked at up to 2.0 GHz. The 650 MHz Adreno 506 GPU handles the graphics.

Coming to the Honor 6X, the in-house Kirin 655 sits at the core. This is also an octa-core processor with eight Cortex A53 cores running at up to 2.1 GHz. The graphics department is controlled by the dual core Mali T830 GPU.

If processing power is considered, the Kirin 655 is somewhat better. However, it fails miserably in the graphics department where the Snapdragon 625 passes with flying colors. Overall, the Snapdragon 625 is a much-balanced chipset and wins the competition hands down.

Performance-wise, both the smartphones are reasonably fast and offer good user experience. Talking about the memory, each of the handsets has different versions with 3GB or 4GB RAM along with 16GB, 32GB or 64GB of internal storage. You are free to choose as per your requirement. Both phones support microSD cards up to 256GB.

Camera

Moto G5 Plus

This is the most exciting part. Both the Moto G5 Plus and the Honor 6X claims excellent imaging capability. In fact, they truly sport some of the best cameras in their price range. The dual pixel 12 MP shooter of the Moto G5 Plus is undoubtedly a benchmark in its class. A similar camera is found in flagship devices like the Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge. Now you must have an idea about the photography caliber of Motorola’s smartphone.

Huawei Honor 6X

The Huawei Honor 6X, on the other hand, build upon a dual camera setup. With the 12 MP Sony IMX386 combined with a 2 MP unit, you can’t ask for anymore. Under real life scenario, the Honor 6X performs too good. We are yet to test any phone in its price bracket with this kind of imaging capability.

The point where the Moto G5 Plus breezes past its competitor are the video recording. Motorola’s smartphone can shoot 4K and slow motion videos which the Honor 6X completely lacks. However, if we consider Full HD 1080p footages, both the devices perform quite well.

Connectivity and Battery

Both the Moto G5 Plus and Honor 6X boasts are pretty much similar regarding connectivity. They are dual SIM devices with support for 4G LTE and VoLTE. Both the smartphones work flawlessly with Reliance Jio. With a dual-band Wi-Fi and v4.2 Bluetooth, the G5 Plus is slightly ahead of its competitor.

Talking about battery life, Motorola’s handset sports a 3000mAh cell, while the Honor 6X comes with a 3340mAh unit. The 14 nm Snapdragon 625 and the 16 nm Kirin 655 are both very power efficient chips and offer plenty of power backup.
