Both the Moto G variants employ a 2,070 mAh battery that is claimed to deliver a backup of almost one day under moderate usage. Like the Moto G, its successor is also believed to be power efficient in order to last longer than the other devices in this range.
The new Moto G is based on Android 4.4.4 KitKat and is will receive the Android L update once the iteration is made commercially available. On the other hand, the Moto G had received the Android 4.4 KitKat update shooting it up from v4.3 Jelly Bean that is pre-installed.
