iBerry Auxus Linea L1 Quick Review, Price and Comparison

iBerry has launched a smartphone dubbed iBerry Auxus Linea L1 with usual specifications and a tempting price tag of Rs 6,990. This pricing is pretty much impressive and it makes the device a direct competitor to the Moto E that is selling like hot cakes. The specifications of this device are decent enough as it comes with some advanced ones such as Android KitKat. Let us take a look at the quick review of this latest entry-level smartphone below:

Camera and Internal Storage

The primary camera of the Auxus Linea L1 is a 5 MP sensor that is teamed up with LED flash and the secondary camera is a 2 MP shooter that can capture quality selfies and video calling. While this appears to be pretty average, this is a common feature in the sub Rs 7,000 priced smartphones and we cannot expect advanced camera aspects from them.

The onboard storage capacity available in the smartphone is 4 GB and this can be expanded externally up to 64 GB with the help of a micro SD card. Again, the 4 GB haters would definitely not like this storage capacity, but the support for 64 GB of storage makes it impressive.

Processor and Battery

The processor incorporated in this device is a 1.3 GHz quad-core MT6582 chipset from MediaTek. This processor is supplemented by Mali 400 GPU to handle graphic rich games and content and 1 GB of RAM to handle decent levels of multi-tasking. Moreover, any sub Rs 10,000 priced smartphone is stuffed with similar specifications such as quad-core processor and 1 GB of RAM.

A powerful 2,000 mAh battery is an appreciable aspect of this device as there are very few budget smartphones with good battery life. This battery is believed to be juicy enough to deliver a decent backup to the iBerry offering.

Display and Features

The display size on the iBerry Auxus Linea L1 is a 4.5 inch OGS (One Glass Solution) panel. Boasting a screen resolution of 480×800 pixels, this display is layered with the Corning Gorilla Glass protection that makes it withstand scratches and damage to some extent. Though the low screen resolution will make the pixel density low resulting in average clarity, this is a usual drawback of all the entry-level smartphones.

As mentioned above, the handset’s display uses the OGS technology that makes the handset thin and light. Also, it is fueled by Android 4.4 KitKat that delivers new software features and an all new and advanced user experience.

Comparison

The major competitors of the iBerry Auxus Linea L1 include Moto E, Micromax Unite 2 A106, Lava Iris X1 and Xolo Q600s.

Price and Conclusion

With a price tag of Rs 6,990, the iBerry Auxus Linea L1 is a decent budget smartphone with value for money specifications. It has been designed to compete with Moto E and other competition which popped up in the same price segment. But will iBerry be able to take on big-guns like Moto E and Unite 2 without any significant price subsidy? That’s questionable.
