The iBerry Auxus Nuclea N1 came with a wonderful Spec sheet few months back and introduced MT6589T chipset earlier than most other players, but had its own share of problems and dissatisfied customers (most of which was resolved with a firmware update). iBerry is now back with its new flagship phone powered by MT6592 true octa core processor for a price of Rs. 19,990. Let’s see what iBerry is offering this time around.
Camera and Internal Storage
The primary camera has a 13 MP sensor, with LED flash, similar to most other high end Domestic Android phones and the front shooter has an 8 MP sensor, which will be better suited for selfies and video calling.
The primary camera boasts of BSI sensor, 35 mm wide angle lens, large f/2.0 aperture, image stabilization, ISO sensitivity mode and Full HD 1080p resolution. In terms of raw Megapixel count, this is the most you can get out there at this price range.
The Internal Storage is 16 GB and can be further extended to 64 GB using MicroSD support. The storage will be sufficient for most users out there. The OTG support present in the device will let you connect external flash drives to the phone.
Processor and Battery
The Processor employed is MT6592 True octa core chipset from Taiwanese giant MediaTek. The 8 cores are based on Cortex A7 architecture, formed on 28 nm process technology and clocked at 1.7 GHz. The chipset embodies Mali 450 MP4 GPU clocked at 700 MHz along with 2 GB RAM (DDR3). The chipset will provide you with sufficient processing power for high end gaming and smooth running of Apps.
The 3500 mAh removable battery is expected to comfortably last one day with moderate usage. The battery also supports wireless charging. You can buy iBerry Wireless charger for an extra 2,500 INR. iBerry has not specified the backup you can squeeze out of this battery.
Display and Other Features
The iBerry Auxus Nuclea N2 will feature a 5.7 inch active matrix LCD panel with 1920 x 1080 p (386 ppi) full HD resolution, constituting a very sharp diplay, fully laminated and protected by Corning gorilla glass. The display also features OGS technology for more responsive and closer touch screen. With all these fancy names on the spec sheet, the display is expected to be crisp and pleasant.
The phone supports Dual SIM connectivity (Regular SIM + Mini SIM) and runs on Android 4.2 jelly bean operating system. iBerry also promises Android 4.4 KitKat update later in Q1. Other features include dual Microphone for noise cancelation, Wireless charging support
Looks and Connectivity
The Phone is pretty sleek at 8.5 mm and weighs 189 grams. The bezels look quite slim along the edges and the edges are more flat than curved. Connectivity features include NFC, USB 3.0, Bluetooth 4.0, USB OTG, 3G HSPA and GPS with AGPS support.
Comparison
The phone will compete against other domestic branded phablets like Xolo Q3000, Intex Aqua Octa, Gionee Elife E7 and Nokia Lumia 1320, which represent new wave of phablet devices in the Indian Market these days.

Conclusion
The phone checks all the right boxes and is quite attractive on paper. The major issue is the after sales support as we have received various complaints against Nuclea N1. The phone is the first octa core phablet to retail in India with Full HD resolution and supersedes most of the competitors on paper.
