Build Quality, Design and Form Factor

The build quality is one of the best you get at this price point in any other android smartphone these days, the back cover is matt finish rubberized in nature which again gives a nice grip in your hands. The design of the phone is really nice, it has a curve at the back which again makes it feel good and premium and the weight of the device is around 140 grams. The device may feel big with its 5 inch display but you will get used to it after using it for one day and the phone is pretty slim to it will go in your jeans or bag pocket quite easily.

Display, Memory and Battery Backup

The display is good quite crisp and clear in pixel formation, its not easy to notice the pixels with naked eyes, however the sunlight visibility and viewing angles are not too good. The OGS display technology on the other hand does make the touch screen much more sensitive as compared to the other phones in the same price segment from other manufactures. It has 4 GB internal memory out of which around 1.89 Gb is available to the user and you also have the option to use SD card but it does not come in the package but you can move apps to SD card and install apps as well directly on the SD card using it as internal storage. The battery backup is good around 1 day with moderate usage.

Software, Benchmarks and Gaming

The software UI is stock android everywhere, but you can still change the look and feel of the icons with the preinstalled app called Variety Themes. The benchmarks scores for a phone at this price segment you can play both the graphic intensive and casual games on this device.

Sound, Video and Navigation

The sound quality from the loudspeaker is good but not too loud but from the in ear headphones sound is loud, clear and crisp on calls and also while listening music. It can play HD videos at 720p and 1080p as well without any issues. You can use the device for navigation as well with the help of assisted GPS on the device but you need to enable the specific settings for the same, see more in our video review below.

Lava Iris 504Q Full In Depth Review + Unboxing [Video]

Conclusion and Price

Lava Iris 504Q is a right priced at Rs. 13,499 INR, it comes with decent hardware like Quad Core processor and 1 Gb RAM but has slightly low internal phone memory available to the users, but some features like gesture sensor technology give more reasons to buy it, if you compare it with popular Micromax Canvas A116 it is better with equally good hardware and light in weight as well.
