Build Quality, Design and Form Factor

The build quality of Spice Mi-525 Pinnacle FHD is a not too good as it feels like another plastic phone but considering its price it seems a better in look and feel compared to other phones, the shiny chrome lining on the edge does give the device a premium look. The design is good may not be the best of unique but the overall form factor of this phone is good with rounded edges it feels easy to hold this device in one hand. The form factor is comparable to the any other smartphone with 5 Inch display, it weigh around 175 grams which is little lighter than some of its competitors and the device thickness is 9.3 mm which makes not too thick that I cant fit into your pocket.

Camera Performance

The rear camera is a 8MP and the daylight performance is pretty good where as the low light performance is quite average for this device. The front camera is 2 MP fixed focus but capable of doing good quality video chat or call, check out some camera samples below.

Display, Memory and Battery Backup

The display on this device is Full HD with 1080 x 1920 pixels spread over 5.0 inches with 441 ppi pixel density and the clarity of the display is good with good wide viewing angles. The in built memory of the device is around 8 GB with approx 5.33 Gb available to the user and it has the option of expanding the memory with MicroSD card slot as well and you can also select default write disk as SD card. The battery backup is good if not the best the overall backup we got with moderate usage is around 1 day most of time during our two weeks review.

Software, Benchmarks and Gaming

The software UI is almost stock android with little customizations on top of android which we could notice, the gaming performance is good but again you might experience some graphic glitch while playing some graphic intensive games like Nova 3 and Front Line Command D Day etc. The benchmark scores are give below.

Benchmark Scores

  • Quadrant Standard Edition: 4782
  • Antutu Benchmark: 15085
  • Nenamark2:  34.1 fps
  • Multi Touch:  5 point

Sound, Video and Navigation

The sound quality from the ear piece is good if not the best, the sound from the ear phone average but the loudspeaker is pretty loud on this device and you can confirm the same by watching the video review we have done for this device. The device is capable of playing HD videos at 720p and 1080p without any audio video lag. This device can also be used for GPS navigation and but it might take little more time for GPS locking as it works on the basis of assisted GPS.

Conclusion and Price

Spice Pinnacle FHD is a great device with decent hardware and quite good form factor and great Full HD display and it comes for a price of Rs. 13990 but it might lag at times when you play some high end graphic intensive games, but on the other hand it’s a good value for money device as per the hardware which you are getting at this price point and one more thing some of the users reported charging problem for this device but we did not faced anything on the unit we reviewed.
