Design, Build Quality and Form Factor

In terms of design this phone does stand out as it features a decent capacitive touch scree display and a physical QWERTY keyboard which gives you the real feel of typing. The material used are plastic but its good quality of plastic being used and the looks of this phone makes it looks quite premium. The rear back cover is white glossy finish and its removable and battery can come out from the device. Form factor of the phone is good as you can easily hold it in one hand. It does feel very light when you hold it and you can easily carry it without any issues. Glossy nature of the rear panel is something which might not give you a great grip but with the leather pouch which comes in the package this problem can be solved. Its not a very slim device but the rounded edges and light weight does not make it feel heavy or bulky otherwise.

Camera Performance

It has a rear camera 3.2 FF which can produce decent photos in day light and low light shots show good amount of noise but it does have LED flash as well in case you want to use it. Front camera is just average in video quality and talking selfie shots from this device from front is not a good idea.

Display, Memory and Battery Backup

It has got a 3.5 inch TFT capacitive touch screen display which does not give you great viewing angles and the color reproduction is just average but still saying all this, its a decent big display you can get at this price point. It has got in built memory of 4 Gb out of which you get around 1 GB user available but you have support for MicroSD card and you can install apps on MicroSD card as well. The battery backup of the phone is good if not great and will give you around 8-10 hours of backup with moderate usage.

Software, Benchmarks and Gaming

The software UI is stock android apart from the customizations done in icons and certain UI changes in apps, it runs fine but may lag as well on heavy usage of multiple apps at times but still does not hang. It can play casual games like Temple run Oz and subway surfer as well but it cannot play HD games very smoothly, you can install heavy games on SD card but you will notice graphic when you try to play HD games.

Benchmark Scores

  • Quadrant Standard Edition: 2608
  • Antutu Benchmark: 9004
  • Nenamark2: 51.1
  • Multi Touch: 2 point

Sound, Video and Navigation

Sound output from the loudspeaker is clear but the volume is low and it is on the rear back so might get blocked at times with hand or when you place it in a table. It can play HD videos as well but only 720p videos gets played it cannot play most of the 1080p videos in the default video player. It can be used for GPS Navigation without any issues but you need to be outdoors for proper signal and for locking GPS coordinates.

What We Liked

  • Great Looks
  • Decent Built Quality
  • Physical Qwerty Keyboard
  • Decent Camera Quality in Day Light

What We Did Not Liked

  • Average Display
  • Bad Viewing Angles

Conclusion and Price

Spice Stellar 360 is available online on amazon and saholic for a discounted price of Rs. 4799 for some time. It gives you great combination of touch and type together at the most affordable price point. It has decent build quality, great looks and decent rear camera as well at this price. Only thing we did not liked much about the device is its display which is TFT so does not looks great in colors and viewing angles are not good as well but at this price point you cannot expect much on the display specs and other specs and features of the device are quite convincing.
