Apart from the OptimaSmart OPS 80, Sunstrike International also unveiled the OPS80Q, which is like the quad core sibling of the OPS 80, albeit with a few differences. The device carries a price tag of 11,899 INR.
As we said, the device comes with a 1.2 GHz quad core processor. This quad core processor sits under the hood of a 5 inch screen, which packs a qHD resolution of 960×540 pixels.
Let us go ahead and look at the details of this new device.
Camera And Internal Storage
Just like the OPS 80, the OPS 80Q too has an 8MP shooter at the rear. The sensor on both these devices is expected to be the same. You can expect average pictures from this unit, and if you don’t hope for miracles than the camera will leave you satisfied.
On the front of the device sits a 2MP unit, which is an upgrade from a 1.2GHz unit on the OPS 80. Apart from being sufficient for video calling, the unit might also find some use in self portraits.
On the storage front, the device comes with the same setup we’ve been used to seeing on phones from domestic manufacturers. Yes, you guessed right. 4GB ROM with a microSD slot which is expandable up to 32GB.
We really think manufacturers should look into this matter and come up with better storage features. After all, storage is something needed by all alike and is also not as expensive as other internals on the phone.
Processor And Battery
The phone comes with a 1.2 GHz quad core processor of unknown make. Given the price and place of origin of the device, we are bound to imagine it comes from the ever-so-popular Mediatek bandwagon.
This quad core processor is coupled with a rather disappointing 512MB of RAM, which would make multitasking on the device a tough job.
Just like the OP 80, Sunstrike have not revealed the battery capacity on this one as well, and promise the exact same backup here too, it being 6 hours of talktime, and 240 hours of standby.
Buyers today are smart, and like to know everything about the device before going for one. Not revealing the battery capacity might thus be a deal breaker for many.
Display And Features
As mentioned previously, the device comes with a 5 inch screen with a qHD resolution of 960×540. This screen is much better than what we saw on the OPS 80 (at least on paper), since the OPS 80 comes with only a WVGA screen, that too on a 5.4 inch panel.
Other features of the device include dual SIM support, and the usual set of connectivity features, Bluetooth, WiFi, etc. However, 3G can be used only on one SIM out of the 2.
Comparison
Most domestic manufacturers have an array of quad core devices in the market, out of which a major share come with 1GB of RAM instead of 512MB as seen on this device.
Some competitors to this device can be the upcoming Lava Iris Pro series, the XOLO Q700, and more than a handful devices from other popular and upcoming domestic manufacturers.

Conclusion
Although the device does not bring anything new to the table and comes with just 512MB RAM unlike most other phones which carry 1GB, it might still be a good option for those who do not use many applications running at once. If the phone delivers to the promises made by the company with regards to the battery, we might actually see the device do better than expected.
At 11,899 INR, a quad core processor and 512MB is not the best deal you can get. Also, the fact that the company is not widely known might play against them, but seeing the wider acceptance of upcoming brands in India, Sunstrike International would hope buyers give the device a thought.
