Xolo launched the Xolo Era 1X Pro, a 4G VoLTE smartphone last month. It is the latest entry-level smartphone from the company in the Indian market. The company priced the phone at Rs. 5,888 when it was launched. However, now the Xolo Era 1X Pro is available at a discounted price of Rs. 5,799 on Flipkart.
The smartphone from Xolo features a 5-inch display, 8M primary camera, 5 MP front camera with Dual LED flash, 2GB RAM, and 16GB internal storage. The device runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and is powered by a quad core processor. It packs a decent 2,500 mAh battery.

The Xolo Era 1X Pro comes with a good design and robust build quality. The device comes with smooth exterior which gives it a polished look. The phone measures 8.6 mm in thickness so it is easy to hold and operate even with one hand.
On the front, it sports a selfie camera with dual LED flash and a receiver.
The power button and volume rocker are placed on the right side.
On the top of the device, there is a USB port for charging and connectivity along with a 3.5mm audio jack.
On the bottom, there is a microphone.

The Xolo Era 1X Pro packs an 8MP primary camera with f/2.4 aperture, 3P Largan Lens and an LED flash. On the front, it has a 5MP secondary camera with f/2.2 aperture and a 3P lens. Notably, the front camera features dual-LED flash for improved low light selfies.
The presence of the dual LED flash on the front makes it very good for selfies, something that is hard to find on budget devices. The primary 8MP camera on the device allows you to capture decent images.

The Xolo Era 1X Pro features a quad-core Spreadtrum SC9832A processor clocked at 1.5GHz. It packs 2GB RAM and 16GB internal memory. The device also features expandable memory up to 32GB via microSD card.
The processor coupled with 2GB RAM is sufficient for moderate use and is able to easily handle multitasking and gaming.
Software and Performance
The phone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box and comes with smart features like smart awake, active shot and an assistant with which you can launch apps from home screen in a jiffy. With the help of these features, you can click pictures, unlock the device, play music and much more with just gestures.
The UI on the device is smooth and feels good with a near stock Android experience with little customization. The touch is responsive. Overall, the phone does perform very well under all the conditions and it does not lag at all.
The device is powered by a 2,500 mAh non-removable battery and it offers up to 13hrs talk time and at least 7 days on standby. Under normal usage which includes, calling, surfing the web and occasional gaming, it can easily offer a day’s backup after a full charge.

Considering its price range, the Xolo Era 1X Pro seems to be a good device in the entry level smartphone market. It has a good build quality, an apt 5-inch display, a decent camera and good battery life. Moreover, it is equipped with a good processor and enough RAM for everyday usage. It is a good buy under this price segment as other devices that are available under Rs. 6,000 come with some compromises.
