Another tablet from Indian giant Micromax has made its way to online availability – the Micromax Funbook P280. Priced just 4,650 INR, the device is one among the more affordable Android powered tablets available in the country.
As you would’ve guessed by now thanks to the uber-low price tag, the device is really a very entry level tablet, aimed probably at those who’re looking to have some fun on a large screen without requiring a lot of processing grunt. The Funbook P280 comes with a 7 inch touchscreen, housing a WVGA resolution of 800 x 480 pixels which is quite out-dated. Micromax’s official website listing for the Funbook P280 lists a single core 1GHz processor in the tech specs, while the Snapdeal listing suggests it has a dual core 1GHz processor. For now, we would like to believe that there’s a single core unit unless its updated on the official website.
Full specifications, apart from the 7 inch screen and processor include – 512MB RAM, 0.3MP front-facer and 4GB on-board ROM expandable up to 32GB via microSD. On the connectivity front, the tablet is powered by WiFi, USB and Bluetooth. A 2400mAh battery unit is found supplying juice to the lightweight internals.
