Airtel and Celkon launch 4G smartphone at an effective price of Rs. 1,349

In a move to provide affordable smartphones in the Indian market, Airtel has now partnered with Celkon. The partnership between Airtel and Celkon will get users a 4G smartphone at an effective price of Rs. 1,349.

This deal is similar to the earlier partnership between Airtel and Karbonn. Bundled recharge on the Celkon 4G smartphone also remains the same as that of the Karbonn smartphone. To get the Airtel and Celkon 4G smartphone, you will have to pay Rs. 2,849, out of which Rs. 1,500 will be refunded to you after 36 months.

About Airtel and Celkon 4G smartphone

Celkon Smart 4GThe Celkon 4G smartphone comes at a slightly lower price than the Airtel and Karbonn smartphone. You can buy this phone from any Celkon retailer and get a recharge from Airtel store to initiate your cashback offer.

You’ll have to recharge with vouchers of Rs. 3,000 in the first 18 months of purchase to get Rs. 500 cashback. Then in another 18 months, you have to recharge the phone with Rs. 3,000 to get Rs. 1,000 more cashback. You don’t have to return the phone in order to avail this cashback.

The bundled recharge of Rs. 169 offers unlimited voice calling and 500MB data with a validity of 28 days. Also, if this recharge seems insufficient, you can independently recharge with any other plan that suits you better.

Celkon Smart 4G Specifications

Just like the Airtel and Karbonn smartphone, this one is also an entry-level smartphone with basic specifications. The Celkon 4G smartphone sports a 4 inch FWVGA display. For cameras, the phone sports a 3.2MP rear camera and a 2MP front-facing selfie camera.

In terms of hardware, the Airtel and Celkon 4G smartphone comes with a quad-core processor clocked at 1.3 GHz. This processor is coupled with 1GB RAM and 8GB internal storage with up to 32GB expansion option using a microSD card.

Running Android 6.0 Marshmallow, the Airtel and Celkon smartphone is backed by a 1,500 mAh battery and basic connectivity options include Micro USB, 3.5mm earphone jack, WiFi, and Bluetooth.

The Airtel and Celkon 4G smartphone is already available from offline retailers. You can buy it from there and get to an Airtel Store for recharge. At the time of purchase, you will have to pay Rs. 2,849 out of which Rs. 1,500 will be refunded to you in 36 months.
