India’s top telecom operator Airtel has come up with an entry-level plan of Rs 9 for its Prepaid customers. The Airtel Rs 9 plan offers unlimited voice calls, 100 SMS and 100MB data with a validity of 1 day. This is an open market plan and is available in all the circles where Airtel operates.

After revising its tariff plans, Bharti Airtel has now come with this entry-level plan under its Prepaid Promise scheme in order to compete with Reliance Jio. Where Jio has its Rs 19 plan that offers unlimited calls, 20 SMS and 150MB of data. So, Airtel is offering 50MB lesser data and 80 more SMSs than Jio.

Airtel’s Rs. 9 Plan benefits, availability

This plan is specially designed for users who are looking for a one-day pack with limited usage. The Rs. 9 plan of Airtel offers unlimited local, STD and roaming calls, 100 MB 3G/4G data and 100 SMSs for one day.

If we talk about the availability of the plan, it is an open market plan so it might be available all circles of Airtel. The official website also displays this new plan in all the circles under combo offer section.

Airtel’s other entry-level plans

Airtel also offers a Rs 19 tariff plan, and with that Airtel is again providing unlimited calls including roaming calls, 100 SMS, and 200MB 3G/4G data with one-day validity. There’s another Rs 23 tariff plan which offers the same benefits of unlimited calls, 100 SMS, and 100MB data for two days. These two are also open market plans and available for all Airtel users.

By introducing the Rs. 9 plan, Airtel is now ahead of Jio which has a starting plan of Rs. 19. However, it is expected that Jio might also come out with a new entry-level plan very soon after this.
