The key competitor of the Android platform has received a major update whose details were released at the recently held WWDC in California. Yes, the iOS 11 has been previewed and with this, new features and improvements are introduced to the Apple products. iOS 11 is the biggest software update that will improve the multitasking and comes with new ways of using Apple Pencil.

Not only this, Augmented Reality to build apps and CoreML for on-device machine learning capabilities are also introduced for the developers. The new Files app is your new destination for keeping all the files in either iCloud Drive or other cloud storage. The drag and drop feature further improves the process of moving the images and texts.

The functionality of Apple Pencil is also improved with iPad and now it supports inline drawing and a new Instant Notes that opens Notes on the Lock Screen by tapping the Pencil on the display.

AR Experience

Apple has introduced a new platform for developers that will help them in building improved AR experiences for the users on iPhone and iPad. The new ARKit allows developers to tap into the latest computer vision technologies to build detailed and compelling virtual content.

Improvements In Siri

The personal assistant now comes with more natural and expressive voice with adjusted intonation, pitch, emphasis and tempo while speaking. It can also translate words from English to Chinese, French, German, Italian, and Spanish. It has also adapted on-device learning that will help in delivering more personalized experience to individual users. Suggestions according to a user behavior will be provided by Siri in Safari and some other apps.

Camera Features

iOS 11 allows Portrait Mode images with optical image stabilization, True Tone flash, and HDR, to give every image a more professional look. Live Photos have new Loop and Bounce effects that create regular video loops and Long Exposure can capture time and movement.
