Apple iPhone 4 8 GB re-introduced in India for Rs. 22,900

Last year there were rumors about Apple reintroducing Apple iPhone 4 8 GB in India for around Rs. 15,000 INR, and now the company has actually reintroduced the 3 year old iPhone for a price of 22,900 INR. Yes, the price is not as low as expected as was the case with iPhone 5c.

This move from Apple implies that even the 3 year old iPhone is a hot seller owing to the Apple brand value, even though Android is offering better features at respective price range. The iPhone 4 is not listed on official website yet but few retailers have received the stock and selling it at these prices.

Apple distributors are also offering 10 free iPhone 4 to retailers on buying every 100 units. This will allow them to give lucrative discounts. Apple is also expected to launch some Buyback scheme and EMI scheme soon to further reduce the effective cost.

The iPhone 4 is old technology now and Apple has already stopped manufacturing it. For this new offer, Apple will most probably gather global unsold stock and introduce it in India. The hardware doesn’t support the latest iOS 7 smoothly and the imaging hardware and battery backup is quite worn out as well.

The iPhone 4 is now selling only in black color. You can buy Apple iPhone 4 8GB from Flipkart for Rs. 22,139. Its reintroduction will give Apple something to compete with Samsung in Mid range segment.
