Apple Watch Series 2 Lauched With Built In GPS and Watch OS 3

World’s leading tech giant Apple held a launch event today in San Francisco. The highlight of the event were the new iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus but there were many other announcements which received applauds from the public.

Another major announcement is the new Apple Watch Series 2, which is a huge upgrade over the last one. It has an all new Apple Watch OS 3 with a lot of added features like 2X brighter display, SOS, Dual Core processor, up to 50 meters of water resistance, build in GPS, unique and stylish band options and a lot more. We will discuss all this in detail in our upcoming articles.

Apple Watch Series 2 will be available in Silver, Rose Gold, Gold and Space Grey color variant. There are more band options including stainless steel, aluminum and white ceramic. Apple has also partnered with Hermes to bring you some really stylish and unique bands and colors. There is one more variant dedicated to runners with a special band, fuel tracker and custom watch faces. It is called Apple Watch Nike +.

 

Apple has also given an upgrade to the previous Apple Watch with a Dual Core processor for snappy performance. Rest of the specs will remain same and it will be called the Apple Watch Series 1.

Apple has focused to fill in the empty spaces left in the previous Apple Watch. It has new watch faces, new stickers, better typing control and apps like Pokemon Go. Yes you heard it right, Pokemon Go is coming on Apple Watch Series 2.

Price and Availability

The Apple Watch Series 2 (Aluminum) and Apple Watch Nike+ will cost $369 in US. It will be available from September 16 onwards. The Apple Watch Nike+ will land later in October.

The Apple Watch Series 1 will cost $269. There is no clue about its availability in India till now.
