Asus Fonepad was shown at MWC which was covered by us in that event and now they have launched the same in India on 26th April. The Fonepad is available for the pre-order on the link mentioned at the bottom of the post, we discovered from the update by Asus on their Facebook Page. Powered by Intel Atom processor where the cores are clocked at the frequency of 1.2 GHz it gives a good competition to Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 and Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 (which will be launched in May).
It has the screen size of 7 inches where the resolution of the display is WXGA (1280 x 800 pixels) and the power of the processor is somewhat similar to the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 which has been launched recently and so it is obviously better than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2. The primary camera available at the back is of 3MP and 1.3 MP in the front. Moreover, users will also get 5GB of free cloud storage by ASUS Webstorage Space.
We do not know about the exact battery strength in mAh units but as per Asus it will last for continuous usage of 9 hours once charged (which is good). The price of this tablet is 15,999 INR with support of calling and 3G connectivity which is again close to the price of Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (with 3G version) at 14,999 INR.
