Asus has announced a Rs. 2,000 price cut for its Zenfone 3 Max 5.5 (ZC553KL) smartphone in India. The Zenfone 3 Max 5.5 will now be available for Rs. 12,999. It will be available from various online retailers. It will also be available from Asus Exclusive Offline Stores across India.

Asus had launched the Zenfone 3 Max in several versions in India last year. The Zenfone 3 Max 5.5 with Snapdragon 430 was launched at a price of Rs. 17,999. The phone comes in Titanium Grey, Glacier Silver, and Sand Gold color options.

Asus Zenfone 3 Max 5.5 Specifications

The Zenfone 3 Max 5.5 features a 5.5 inch full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) 2.5D curved glass display. The Hybrid dual SIM (Micro + Nano/microSD) phone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with Zen UI 3.0 on the top. Dimension wise it measures 151.4×76.24×8.3mm and weighs 175g. It sports a metal body and a Fingerprint sensor on its back.

The phone is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 64-bit processor clocked at 1.4 GHz with Adreno 505 GPU. Memory wise, it packs 3GB LPDDR3 RAM and 32GB internal storage which is expandable up to 128GB with microSD card.

In the camera department, it features a 16MP rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, f/2.0 aperture. The camera can record videos up to 1080p @ 30fps. The camera comes with features such as geo-tagging, touch focus, PDAF, EIS, panorama, and HDR. At the front, it sports an 8MP camera with f/2.2 aperture and 84-degree field of view.

Connectivity options on the phone include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack and FM Radio. The phone also features an Ice power enhanced speaker. The phone gets power from 4,100mAh battery.
