Asus has sent out invites for the launch of its latest flagship Zenfone 4 series. The smartphones will be announced at an event in Taipei (Taiwan) on August 17th. It is being speculated from the event poster that the phones will be camera centric.
Asus is also expected to announce the Zenfone 4 Pro, Zenfone 4 Selfie and Zenfone 4V as well along with basic Zenfone 4 at the event. It is being expected the company is to launch at least 6 members in Zenfone series. The company had already launched the Zenfone 4 Max earlier this month in China.
Earlier, a few days back an Italian website posted some leaked images of the Zenfone 4 Pro. It is now confirmed with the press release image that the Zenfone 4 and the Zenfone 4 Pro will come with dual rear cameras.
The phones are expected to run Android Nougat 7.1.1 with company’s ZenUI 4.0. The Zenfone 4 is said to be a mid-range phone. It is expected to come with Snapdragon 630 or Snapdragon 660 chipsets with up to 4GB RAM. The phone is expected to come with a 5.5-inch 1080p screen.
While Zenfone 4 Pro is said to be the premium top-end phone. It is supposed to come with 5.7-inch Quad HD screen, Snapdragon 835, and up to 6GB RAM. Its dual camera setup is to come up with 2x zoom. There is not much information is available about the Zenfone Selfie and the Zenfone 4V as of now.
The Asus Zenfone 4 launch event starts at 2:30 PM China Standard Time (12:00 PM IST) on August 17. The Zenfone 4 series phones are expected to be available in Chinese market only for now. Since Asus had recently launched Zenfone AR in India, the Zenfone 4 series too will make it to Indian market soon.
