BSNL Happy Offer for prepaid users will get you up to 50% extra data

State-run telecom operator BSNL is increasing the plan validity and offering more data on select prepaid plans to compete with Reliance Jio. The offer comes as the telco’s answer to the recent price slashes on Reliance Jio plans.

With the new BSNL ‘Happy Offer’ for prepaid users, the company is giving 43% extra validity, 50% additional data, unlimited benefits in terms of calling and SMS benefits as well. The offer is valid for select plans only. Here are the full details of the BSNL Happy Offer for prepaid users.

Starting with the Rs. 186 plan voucher and Rs. 187 special tariff, both plans have got validity of 28 days. Both the plans offer 1GB per day data for the validity period. The Rs. 349 plan and Rs. 429 plans also come with 1GB data per day. The Rs. 349 plan will be valid for 54 days and the Rs. 429 plan comes with 81 days validity.

The BSNL Happy Offer is also valid for higher tariff plans. The Rs. 485 plan and Rs. 666 plan will both get you 1.5GB daily data with 90 days and 129 days validity respectively. Not just this, the entire lineup of plans gets 100 free local+National SMSes per day.


In terms of calling, the tariff plans come with unlimited calling benefits for the validity period. This offer from BSNL comes as an answer to the recent Reliance Jio tariff cuts. You can recharge your BSNL mobile number here.

Reliance Jio Prepaid plans

Reliance Jio had recently slashed prices of their monthly plans with 1GB daily data under the ‘Happy New Year 2018’ offer. The company is now offering 1.5GB data per day with these plans along with slashed prices. With Jio plans, you get unlimited 4G VoLTE calling and a subscription to the Jio Apps suite. It is because of this offer, that BSNL has introduced the BSNL Happy Offer for prepaid users.
