Fly mobiles has launched another mobile in India, Fly F50 Q, which boosts of a 1.2 GHz Quad core processor and is priced at Rs. 15,699. This mobile from Fly comes with admirable specifications and will be competing against mobiles like Micromax Canvas 4, Wammy passion Z+ and many more with similar specifications.
Commenting on the launch Mr. Rahul Goel, President, Fly Mobiles, India said, “The mobile technology is changing with every passing day. This is yet another step towards building better communication experience for our consumers. Our range of Android phones launched earlier has been accepted really well in the market and the launch of Quad core range will help strengthen our position even more”
Fly F 50 Q comes with a 5 inch HD (1280 x 720) display which will give you a pixel density of 294 ppi which is a good clarity display similar to the likes of Micromax Canvas 4, Micromax Canvas HD, Videocon A55 HD and Lava Iris 504Q. The OGS or One Glass Solutions technology has been used in the display which eliminates one or more than one layers in the display making it more brighter and increasing the outside visibility (by reduced scattering of light).
This phone comes with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean O.S. and is powered by a Quad core processor clocked at the frequency of 1.2 GHz. This processor is now standard in this price segment. Many manufacturers like Wammy passion Z+ and ZOPO ZP980 are also offering turbo Quad core processors with 1.5 GHz clock frequency. The RAM capacity is 1 GB which is again pretty standard. The internal storage is of 4 GB which can further extended to 32 GB using MicroSD card support.
The primary camera is of 13 MP and is equipped with BSI sensor similar to Micromax Canvas 4. A 3 MP front camera is also present for video calling. A higher MP camera is not available at this price range and how far this translates into image clarity remains to be seen.
The battery capacity is of 2000 mAh and Fly claims that this will give you a talk time of 8 hrs and standby time of up to 240 hrs. Connectivity features of this dual SIM phone include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GSM, 3G, 3.5 mm audio jack and EDGE.
This phone sports good specifications, at least on paper. What makes it stand apart from other Quad core devices in 10- 15 k range is its 13 MP camera. The pricing of 15,699 is a little steep but we expect the market price to be a little less than this.
