Amidst the teasers of Gionee Elife E6 and leaked specifications of Gionee GN705w which we covered recently, Chinese manufacturer gionee has officially launched Gionee CTRLV4 with a 4.5 inch display and a quad core processor. At a price tag of 9,999 INR this is one of the few quad core devices which have been priced below Rs. 10,000. Let’s examine the specifications of this device.

This phone is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad core processor with PowerVR Series5XT GPU. Though the manufacturing company of the processor is not mentioned it is most likely to be MediaTek considering the price of the smartphone. This Chipset is backed by a moderate 512 MB RAM, which is quiet low considering that the device has a quad core processor, and Android v4.2 Jelly bean Operating system. ROM of CTRLV4 is rated 4GB but little will be left for use after the space Operating system takes. Memory can be extended to 32 GB using TF card and Gionee provides you with a 8 GB card with this phone, so that will give you extra storage options.

CTRLV4 has a 4.5 inch display with a FWVGA resolution of 480 x 854 pixels which gives you a pixel density of ~218 pixels per inches which is above average in this price range phones. This device has a Auto focus primary camera of 5MP that comes with LED flash and other features like face detection geo- tagging and touch focus. This camera is capable of HD recording. Gionee has provided a front VGA camera of .3 MP for those interested in video calling.

The battery capacity of this device is rated at 1800mAh which with respect to a 4.5 inch screen will be sufficient to carry you through the day. CTRLV4 Supports dual SIM with dual standby feature, its body dimensions are 136 x 67 x 9.7mm which makes it quite sleek. We covered another phone of gionee ( GN705W) with similar specification, which was recently leaked. Gionee CTRLV4 comes in two colors, black and white, and gionee will also provide you with a 8GB memory card and a Phone case. Gionee CTRLV4 is priced at Rs. 9,999.
