Too Little Too Late – Gionee ELife E7 Finally Gets Updated to Android 4.4.2 KitKat

Gionee has rolled out the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update to the earlier flagship model Gionee ELife E7. The firmware is an OTA update that is compatible with both the 16 GB and 32 GB variants of the smartphone. The firm has also come up with a complete guide to the installation process. The Android 4.4.2 KitKat version will provide several new features to the Gionee ELife E7 making the smartphone simpler, faster and more spontaneous to render a seamless user experience.

Some of the possible changes that have been revealed by Gionee include the Shake and Delete function that will delete all the recently opened apps by simply shaking the smartphone, 23 new desktop effects and fix for random SMS unread icon issue.

Also, the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update has updated the Amigo Paper with a new UI interface design, Game Zone with a new UI interface design, GioneeXender for an optimized performance, UC browser with optimized UI interface and new page loading effects and KingSoft WPS for an efficient performance.

The update removes the NQ Mobile Security, brings a new Desktop layout with removed Search, Texas Poker and BBM applications. Also, there are preloaded applications such as Saavn, Green Farm 3 and Danger Dash.

Since it’s been several months since Google revealed Android 5.0 Lollipop, Android KitKat update arriving on flagship device now can be considered too little too late
