Google Apps Referral Program Comes to India

Whenever we stumble upon something new, unique or amazing – be it a coffee shop or a productivity tool that improves the way we work, we share that piece of information with people we know so that they too can enjoy the benefits. Hundreds of million of Google App customers around the world came to know about tools like Hangouts, Drive and Gmail for business from their customers, friends and networks.

Google is trying to make it easier for others to recommend Google, today Google is launching the Google Apps Referral Program in India. The main objective of this program is to make it easy to share Google Apps with our network and show, explain them how they too can use those tools and be productive at work. For each new Google Apps user that you refer to, you will earn $7.50 which converts to almost Rs. 450.

Google says:

By joining the Google Apps Referral Programme, you’ll receive USD$7.50 for every user who signs up based on your recommendation. No IT experience required, no systems to manage – just an interest in helping people experience a better way of working.

Also the method of referring is pretty simple and quick :

  • Receive a unique referral link after registering for the programme
  • Start with email and website templates that Google will provide
  • Get rewarded when customers sign up using your unique referral link

As of now, the Google Apps Referral Program is available for anyone and everyone who is based in India. You can visit the official page and join the program in few simple steps. You will have to link your bank account to get direct deposits.

While we tried joining the program, Google put us in waiting list for 2 to 3 days, citing overwhelming response to the program as the reason. Well, that’s understandable.
