Android 5.0 Lollipop is the biggest Android version update so far and it totally makes sense to get excited, as Google has started rolling out the new version on its Nexus devices! Nexus 5 will be the first in this list to get updated followed by Nexus 4, Nexus 7 (2013 and 2012) and Nexus 10.
The most exiting change is the design, but only stock Android users will be able to cherish that part. Here is what official Google blog has to say in this regards.

That’s why we unveiled material design earlier this year: one consistent design language flexible enough to span devices across mobile, desktop, and beyond. Design is a major focus for Lollipop—the latest version of Android—which begins to roll out today.”
Google’s Material Design will facelift and enhance utility for all Google Apps like Gmail, Calender, Play Books, etc. Even people with older versions of Android will be able to relish these changes. Third party apps will follow.
Google is pretty serious with the security aspects of Android. Android 5.0 Lollipop will have encryption enabled by default. Then there is Smart Lock, mandatory SELinux Enforcing mode for all apps, etc.
There are several other features to look up to , like default ART Runtime, Android L keyboard, new multi tasking panel, animations, etc. Google has started rolling out what it calls, its most ambitious Android update and Android Land is all set to get a lot prettier for sure.
Apart from Nexus devices, Android 5.0 Lollipop is confirmed to arrive on HTC One M8, Sony Xperia Z series, LG G3, LG G2, Samsung Galaxy S5, OnePlus One, All Motorola Phones, GPe Devices and Android One phones so far.
