The latest Honor lineup will get the Android 8.0 Oreo update along with an updated EMUI 8.0. The EMUI or the Emotion UI is Honor’s home-grown user interface for their Android devices. With the latest iteration, this UI is now loaded with more features and backed by AI.

Starting with the AI implementation, the EMUI 8.0 can identify different types of scenes and objects in real-time while you are using the camera. This allows it to adjust the color, contrast, and exposure automatically. You can also translate in real-time using your phone’s camera. Also, features like smart tips suggest actions based on your usage.

With a refreshed design, the new UI gets a floating navigation dock that you can place anywhere on the screen. There is also smart split screen and smart multi-column display for multitasking. Apart from this, there are dynamic wallpapers that change as you shake your phone or the day goes by.

Lastly, talking about the performance, the EMUI 8.0 is backed by machine learning and takes feedback from user behavior. Then, it gives smart suggestions based on the feedback. Also, you can use your Honor phone as a PC dock using a single wire. With Dual Bluetooth, you can connect a Bluetooth mouse and keyboard at the same time too. There is also an option to sync your Linkedin account with your phonebook on the updated UI.
