Htc has been sending out the invites lately for an event to be organised on November 25. Htc’s latest offering in the Indian market One A9 is going to be launched at this event. This is the first smartphone in the A series of smartphones from HTC. With the launch of this device Htc is looking forward to maintain the smartphone launching spree that it has been continuing for quite some time.

Coming to the handset, Android 6.0 Marshmallow based One A9 sports a premium look with its all metal body. One A9 boasts of a regular 5.0 inches Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) display with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection to prevent the smartphone from scratches. One A9 will be powered by a 64 bit Octa-core 617 Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 chipset.

One A9 will be available in two variants depending on RAM and internal storage capacities. One variant comes with 2 GB RAM and an internal storage of 16 GB, where other variant comes with 3 GB RAM and an internal storage of 32 GB. Both the variants support expandable storage up to 200 GB with micoSD card. One A9 features the same combination of 13 MP and 5 MP rear and front cameras that we have seen on plenty of smartphones out there in almost all price ranges.

This smartphone is drawing power from a meager 2150 mAh Li-Po battery which is disappointing and can be a major disadvantage for this smartphone. Most of the smartphones come with much bigger batteries and battery backup can be a deciding factor for some which is definitely on the downside for One A9. Htc claims that the battery on this smartphone will provide a standby time of 432 hours and 16 hours of talk time. Although we are yet to ascertain these claims.  The pricing details are not available yet but it will be more or less in the price range of INR 25,ooo. This handset will be available in a variety of colors to further appeal to the masses.
