Huawei Enjoy 8, Enjoy 8 Plus, Enjoy 8e announced: Price, Specs,more

Huawei has introduced three new smartphones in the ‘Enjoy series’ in China, dubbed as the Enjoy 8, Enjoy 8 Plus and Enjoy 8e. The mid-range phones come with the latest features such as 18:9 aspect ratio display, Android Oreo with EMUI on top and dual rear cameras. The phones have been launched in China only as of now.

The Huawei Enjoy 8 series is the successor to last year’s Enjoy 7. If we talk about features, Enjoy 8 and Enjoy 8e have similar features such as same 18:9 screens, Snapdragon 430 SoCs, and dual rear cameras. The Enjoy 8 Plus is the top model in Enjoy series now and it comes with a bigger Full HD+ display, dual front and rear cameras and a bigger battery.

Huawei Enjoy 8 Specifications

Starting with the Enjoy 8, the phone sports a 5.99-inch HD+ (1440 x 720 pixels) 2.5D curved glass FullView display with 18:9 aspect ratio. The phone runs Android 8.0 Oreo with EMUI 8.0 skinned on top and is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 Mobile Platform with Adreno 505 GPU.

The phone comes in two variants one is 3GB RAM with 32GB internal storage, and another is 4GB RAM with 64GB storage. The storage is expandable up to 256GB with microSD via a dedicated slot. The phone sports a Fingerprint sensor at the rear.

Camera wise, the Enjoy 8 sports a dual rear camera with a 13MP primary camera with LED flash, f/2.2 aperture, and a secondary 2MP camera. Up front, there is an 8MP front-facing camera with LED flash and f/2.0 aperture.

Connectivity options on the device include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS + GLONASS, 3.5mm audio jack and FM Radio. The Enjoy 8 packs a 3,000mAh built-in battery.

Huawei Enjoy 8 Plus Specifications

The Enjoy 8 Plus comes with a 5.93-inch FHD+ (2160 x 1080 pixels) 2.5D curved glass display with 18:9 aspect ratio. It also runs on Android 8.0 Oreo with EMUI 8.0 and is powered by Huawei’s own octa-core Kirin 659 processor coupled with Mali T830-MP2 GPU and 4GB RAM.

For the camera, the Enjoy 8 Plus sports dual camera at rear and front both. At the rear, there is a 13MP primary camera with LED flash and a secondary 2MP camera. Up front, there is 16MP primary camera, with a secondary 2MP camera.

The Enjoy 8 Plus also comes in two storage options – 64GB or 128GB which is expandable up to 256GB with microSD via a dedicated slot. Connectivity options are 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1 LE, GPS / GLONASS. The phone is powered by a 4,000mAh battery and there is rear mounted Fingerprint sensor.

Huawei Enjoy 8e Specifications

The Enjoy 8e comes with 5.7-inch HD+ (1440 x 720 pixels) 18:9 FullView 2.5D curved glass display. It runs on Android 8.0 Oreo with EMUI 8.0 and is powered by Snapdragon 430 Mobile Platform with Adreno 505 GPU, coupled with 3GB RAM, and 32GB internal storage. The dual-SIM phone supports expandable memory up to 256GB with a dedicated slot.

In the camera department, it sports a dual rear camera with a 13MP primary camera with LED flash and a secondary 2MP camera. There is a 5MP front-facing camera with LED flash for selfies. The phone also sports a Fingerprint sensor.

Connectivity options are 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS + GLONASS, 3.5mm audio jack, and FM Radio. The phone packs a 3,000mAh built-in battery.

Price and availability

The Huawei Enjoy 8e is priced at 1099 yuan (Rs. 11,385 approx.). The Huawei Enjoy 8 3GB + 32GB is priced at 1299 yuan (Rs. 13,455 approx.), while the 4GB + 64GB version is priced at 1499 yuan (Rs. 15,530). The top model Huawei Enjoy 8 Plus with 4GB + 64GB version costs 1699 yuan (Rs. 17,600 approx.) while the 4GB + 128GB model of Enjoy 8 Plus costs 1899 yuan (Rs. 19,670 approx.)

The Huawei Enjoy 8 is already available for sale in China. The Huawei Enjoy 8 Plus is available for pre-order and will go on sale from April 3. Lastly, the Huawei Enjoy 8e will be available for pre-order from April 8 and will go on sale from April 15 in China.
